I’ve been craving homemade Indian cuisine and this is the SPOT. I got the butter chicken and it was SO delicious, the spices is just immaculate ? definitely will be my go to spot. I was hoping for a little more chicken but it’s no biggie I can just cook some more and add it to the sauce. Comes with a good amount of sauce! No issues with my food, parking, and service. The guy made sure I was set before leaving.

I was having a deep craving for gyros one Sunday evening (as I tend to do). Unfortunately, I've found many mediterranean restaurants in Fort Worth are closed Sunday nights. We live near Arlington so we drove out to go to a restaurant only to find their hours were incorrect. We were about to head home when I saw Mom's Kitchen on Yelp and decided to give it a try. I do not turn my nose up to gas station food, honestly it's right up my alley. Tasty, cheap, convenient: my favorite food qualities. However, I can't say I'd ever come here again. It's not that the experience was terrible, mostly that it was "meh." It was late when we arrived but they were still set to be open for a few hours. We looked over the menu, but when we tried to order they were out of several items... no biggie. It happens. So we settle on a gyro and some samosas. We wait at the counter only to see every single item used is premade. Gyro meat.. premade. Somosas: frozen. Even the tzatziki sauce came from a big commercial tub. I didn't necessarily expect everything to be made from scratch and to order, but it was just a bit disappointing for a place called "Mom's Kitchen" to not have anything homemade. Taste wise, the somosas were terrible. Mostly because it was still cold in the middle and drenched in oil (taken straight from the fryer and plopped into a paper bag). The gyro was decent for what it was. It's hard to mess up meat and bread. If I was limited geographically (as in living or staying nearby without a car), this place could do in a pinch. But honestly, this area of Arlington has a lot of restaurants both cheap and nicer right across the street. I hate to recommend chain restaurants over a small business but there is literally a McDonalds right next door. If you're going to eat cheap processed food, it at least has to be fully cooked. In the end I didn't find that the food here was cheap enough to justify the quality. I still paid about the same as I would at most fast/casual mediterranean places, but with little menu options and undercooked food.

O.O I just realized, I came by after hours and they still cooked us our takeout! I am so sorry! They're so nice. Also, this chicken biriyani with their special mint sauce is amazing. My husband is loving his chicken curry and freshly grilled naan!
