If the old Potager a couple blocks down the street were still there, I would give it 6 or 7 stars. But what has survived is still a wonderful, if considerably more limited experience. It is an expression of minimalist art in cuisine, but everything here is virtually perfect, especially Cynthia, the owner and, as far as I've observed, only employee.

The owner of the business, Cynthia, seemed nice but ended up stealing a piano that was in her wine room at the store and now will not give me the name of the person who has our property so that I can recover it. It's sad that given the opportunity to be honest Cynthia chose to deflect responsibility for the problem. I have no choice but to file a police report. be careful with this store owner!

Potager's is such a quaint and quirky store hidden within the depths of Arlington. I've driven past this place so many times without even realizing it was there! Cynthia (the owner) is definitely part of what makes this place feel homey and welcoming. Cappuccinos are delicious, with a sprinkling of cinnamon on top. Different foods (made from locally sourced ingredients, if possible) appear on the menu each day, depending upon what Cynthia felt like making that particular day! Quiche is usually a staple though, along with salads. Last time I went, Cynthia had made three different types of cookies, so of course I had to get one each of the lemon, trail mix, and double chocolate cookies. Potager's offers more than just drinks and food though. As the 'Other Stuff' part of the shop's name implies, Cynthia also sells a large variety of wine bottles, seeds, herbs, cheeses, French press machines, reusable bags, and a whole slew of other fun stuff. Definitely come check out Potager's if you're looking for a quiet study spot while sipping on a beverage of your choice. Please do note that food options are limited, so if you're looking for a full-on meal, maybe come back another day.

Just stumbled upon this hole in the wall shop in "Downtown" Arlington! The owner is really sweet and she is a chef. She made a tomato and white bean soup and it was really good! Tea was great and the prices are cheap compared to the modern places... Decor is a little dated, but loved the quirky, earthy vibe of the place. Great place to get work done if you like quiet spots. Would definitely go back!
