This is the first time I have ever gone off on a restaurant because I have never had such a terrible experience before. My husband and I made the mistake of going to Mahogany Chop House for the first time and it will definitely be our last! When we got to the restaurant there were 3 other people there…so not busy. The waitress told us to sit wherever and she brought the menus. There were several things that interested me on the menu including rice bowls, fried rice and especially salmon with rice. The waitress came back to take our drink order. I asked for a glass of Chardonnay and my hubby ordered a beer. She brought our drink orders but she gave me a glass of red wine. I pointed it out to her and she said “well that’s what the bartender gave me.” She then yelled across the restaurant and asked the guy about the wine…he said they were out of any white wine. So I just took it. When she came back to take our orders I ordered salmon with rice. Guess what? They were all out of rice and all seafood. I settled for a Reuben sandwich- which the menu described as grilled rye bread with corned beef, sauerkraut, thousand island and Swiss cheese. What I got was 2 pieces of dry Texas toast, some unidentifiable little chips of meat, Swiss cheese and that’s it! I was so mad when we left I went to the counter asking for a business card for the owner or manager…GUESS WHAT?? They were out of those, too. So I just went home and took another blood pressure pill. DO NOT GO THERE!! They are located on Park Row and Fielder in Pantego.

4.5 overall reviews(mostly from prior owners) made me drive across town to give this place a try... $40 dollars later i was compelled to do my own review... The waitress was nice but had a nonchalant demeanor that didn't seem welcoming considering we was the only customers in the building 90 percent of our visit. We ordered an appetizer(fried pickles) that came two minutes after our burgers and was also burnt. The kids spaghetti never came, my wife picked over her burger and overpriced truffle fries. My burger(chophouse) and fries were actually good and if not for the overall experience i would have probably made a return visit in the future. Owner came to our table three times to have random conversation and never once ask about the food or our experience. Also the floors where super slippery and there was no tissue in any of the restrooms.

Very disorganized place. I ordered online at 6:42 p.m. on 03/04/2024, but my order was not ready until 7:50 p.m.! Estimated time it would be ready was 7:12 p.m. I got there about 20 minutes after I had ordered and they couldn't find my online order then after a few minutes they finally found it, but did not start immediately making it. I sat in the dining room for about 45 minutes waiting for my food and still didn't get the complete or correct order. The sides were great, however, one of the burgers they added a bunch of stuff that was not listed in the description on the website or else I would have customized it. I ordered a plain bacon cheese burger, and they gave me a bacon cheese burger with tomatoes, pickles, lettuce, and who knows what else. My husband got a Chop House Burger, but got another bacon cheeseburger instead! Both burgers were very sloppy and just thrown together. I also didn't get my order of a kids cheese pizza, so my daughter didn't have food. When the server handed me my order to go, she was rude and didn't apologize for the horrible service. I am extremely disappointed in this place. I finally got my food at 7:50 and by the time I got home to check the order, they were closed! Waste of $46. Never again. Threw the food away and went somewhere else that could actually read and put out the correct order in a timely manner.

Came in on a Friday evening with only two tables currently seated. It took roughly 10-15 minutes before we were even given menus. Probably another 10 minutes before a drink order was taken. The service was terrible with only one server taking care of three tables. With the rest of my table getting drinks, I had to ask a second time for my drink. 40-50 minutes later our food finally arrived. The food was decent but nowhere near the caliber I’d expect for that type of wait. We were never asked for refills and had to really grab the servers attention to get us anything we needed which seemed like a chore. Maybe we just caught this place on a bad night. But I can say we won’t be back.

My daughter and i went a little while back. Kinda shocked it wasn't still Chophouse. There was no real difference in the food. It was great! There had been an online snafu and they hadn't received our order. The Manager (or owner?) was on it. His customer service alone means we'll be back. Thank

This is a hidden gem in Arlington, TX. Group of friends and I went for the first time this week, and all I can say is wow! Great food, great service, and just a great comfortable place to eat, relax, and spend time with friends and family. Burgers, onion rings, fries, gumbo, fried pickles, chips and salsa, you name it, everything we got was great! Highly recommend! Will definitely be back!
