We've been several times over the last 6 months, and it's become clear that the few good experiences were not the norm. The fish tacos are not seasoned, even if you ask for extra blackened. They consist of a hunk of iceberg and a thick sauce reminiscent of orange Burger King sauce with a few small chunks of poorly seasoned fish on cold, stale tortillas. The burger is dry and not flavourful, with sparse toppings, more like a microwave hockey puck with some ranch on top. The chips were hard and stale, the queso cold. Everything was both heavy and greasy but flavorless. It's hit or miss if you get silverware or napkins, even if you ask multiple times. We had to go to the bar to grab our own but there were only 3 for our table of 6 so some went without. On slow nights the server ignores you in favor of chatting at the bar, on busy nights you are ignored in favor of taking smoke breaks behind the fence. It's such a shame that a cool space and fun atmosphere is let down by poor waitstaff, poor management, and mediocre food.

Usually I enjoy dining at the tipsy Oak. However, this time the mashed potatoes honestly tasted as if they were from a box. And every single time I go there I have to ask for silverware. They bring the food but no silverware. This time was worse than ever with the silverware delivery. The place was not as busy as usual and it took the young lady forever to bring napkins and utensils. By then our food was cold. Step it up Tipsy Oak!

The food was not good. I ordered a classic dish…chicken strips and fries. The chicken was okay, but not at all crispy. The fries seemed like they’d be okay had they not been cold. The ranch paled in comparison to Wingstop. This place is probably best left to the UTA college kids looking for a hangout spot to drink beer.

Came here with my roommate as a way to celebrate our Spring Break. I got the Jalapeño Bacon burger (I had a minor issue with the meat but that fault was on my end! Our waitress, however, handled it kindly 😇), and while the meat was slightly under seasoned, the rest of the burger was delicious! Loved the fries, the whole meal complimented well with a crisp Dr. Pepper 🙏🏼

I had lunch today, 3/13/25, and my friend and I ordered the lobster bisque.
The soup was overheated causing it to break or separate, meaning the cream curdled. It was edible but the texture was wrong and I’m very disappointed that the kitchen served it in that state. Not a good look at all.
The outside seating was understaffed and therefore very slow. It wasn’t the server’s fault. She had too many tables.

Been here plenty of times. This was the first time was not satisfied. The beer was warm. When we mentioned to waitress she said that all their drinks were at that temperature. We ordered the the chips and smoked Gouda bacon queso and came out cold. The brisket cheese sandwich was good. Somewhat of a disappointment. We were looking for somewhere to enjoy the weather and drinks we ended up paying our tap and leaving.

I wasn't wowed by the food but it was good . It is a typical brunch place.

I love when Brunch spots have some unique items. I would try this again and maybe the lunch.

However the Mocktail that I had was the blood orange mule was so phenomenal and I definitely wanna try the alcoholic beverages next time

Realllly slow service. First drinks came out about 15 minutes for 3/4 of us. One person waited 45 minutes for their beer. Food took close to 2 hours from the time we arrived, about 1.5 hours after ordering. When the food finally arrived the fries were cold and one persons meal was missing. After everyone was finished was told it was almost ready. Just asked to cancel the order completely over it at this point. Must have went on a bad day. :(

Went here on a Saturday night, it wasn't crazy busy when we got there around 7pm. My friend & I arrived at the same time, so put together two tables & then a waitress asked loudly if it was just the two of us... a little odd but okay. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Literally had just sat down & we were waiting for six other people. I don't know know if she thought we were just taking up space & anti-social, but there were like six other tables around us that were empty with no one waiting either. That being said, I also like that there's a lot of options to sit outside too. It was a little chilly so we sat inside, but definitely a great patio area.

We ordered the big pretzel & the three dip with chips. Guacamole was okay, salsa was good, & the smoked gouda queso wasn't bad but it was pretty thickened up/cooled down a few knives after arriving to our table. Overall all food entrées from our table, the chicken tenders were okay. Pretty good portion. Fries were so so with both. My friend enjoyed his burger, then my other friend & I both had the smoked brisket grilled cheese... they knocked that out of the park! It wasn't greasy & didn't fall apart, yet had a generous amount of brisket. We had the mac n cheese with it, excellent. I'd go back just for that.

Service overall was okay, good but not great. When it wasn't busy it took awhile for us to get our drinks, then a soda after that, then getting our initial orders in. Yet, when it got super busy, they were totally on top of everything!

Overall it was a good experience, lots of drink choices & easy to see your options by scanning a QR code in the table.
