The food was ok. My salad barely had any toppings. Gumbo was too salty. Louisiana plate was pretty good. Not busy at all during Sunday lunch.

Don’t be fooled by all the 5 stars reviews. We asked for the check, and was told there was a “corporate situation” where we had to leave a review to receive the bill.

I couldn’t believe it, so I repeated, “we have to leave a review just to get the bill???”

The answer was yes. Our bill was being held hostage. We were stunned as our waiter told us we’d “get points for reviewing” (not restaurant points btw, these are Google points) and pressured us to scan the QR code and stood there watching to make sure we had put 5 stars on everything.

When he saw I was hesitant to do so, he said just one of us could do the review to get the bill.

This is unbelievable business practice and extremely uncomfortable. For this reason alone, I cannot recommend this establishment and will not be returning.
