I don’t like spicy foods black pepper is too much except in miniscule amounts. So it’s always hit or miss. This place hit it right out of the park Yordan Alvarez style ? I had it delivered and even being 10 miles away the food was hot and plentiful. I had the 2 meat dinner and chose brisket and ribs, macaroni and cheese and potato salad. Great bark on both, brisket was flavorful and tender( to me it could have been a tad less cooked but it didn’t stop me) but the ribs were amazing great flavor and delicious. Macaroni and cheese rivals all. Tastes like what my mom used to make from scratch. It’s fantastic. Taste is subjective and the potato salad was ok for me but everything else was great. About to order the third time this week ? The photo below is not

I love the sausage! It's homemade, with great texture, and flavor.Brisket was a little tough and dry, but the smoke ring was there, and so was the flavor.Sides: Good buttery/cheesy Mac'Ncheese which is more stringy than creamy, which is fine, because when it comes to Mac'N cheese, it's all about the cheese.Potato salad has a mustard base, and good flavor.Collard greens have a fantastic smokey, peppery bite, but also a sweet taste that cuts down on the bitterness, which cuts down on the experience for me, (I like my greens bitter,) but any BBQ joint that offers greens for a side aromatically gets my respect. Note: if I had some cornbread to crumble up in those greens, I might change my mind.I haven't worked through the menu, but I'll be stopping by for more.You should too.

Big Daddy potato was great. Their ribs are awesome. Sausage with the potato was great. Ordered a side of sausage and it was very dry. Wouldn't order that again.

I was looking for an old-fashioned, home-style meal. Gilbert & Sons did not disappoint. The meatloaf rested on a bed of mashed potatoes with a tasty sauce that accompanied without being overbearing. With that, the smoked greens and mac & cheese were delicious. Only one thing could end a meal like that and they had it: delicious pound cake. It made me happy!
