So excited to have an authentic German restaurant right here in Aubrey! Pork schnitzel was great, rotkraut was great, and the mashed potatoes were perhaps the best we’ve ever had. They have a variety of German beers and wines. We’ll be back for sure!

Great food. Solid and friendly service. You definitely need to give these guys a shot to earn your dining business.

***UPDATE***After I posted my last review the owner contacted me for details and offered to cook for me personally. My wife and I went for lunch and the food was completely different! So good and flavorful. He confirmed our suspicions that the kitchen staff was overwhelmed and executed the food poorly. He truly cares about his customers and for that we will definitely be returning.I don’t like leaving bad reviews unless it’s really bad. The food was just not great at all. I had high hopes for this place but all around barely edible. I don’t even know where to begin. If you don’t know what German food is supposed to be, then you might like it, but I doubt it.Save your money and go to Bavarian Grill.

We were so hoping this place was amazing. Sad to say we were wrong. First and last visit. We have traveled Germany extensively and have never had a pork schnitzel so thick, with gravy that was filled with onion. When I ordered my food, I asked if the potatoes had onion and was told no. You would have thought that the server would have mentioned that the gravy had onion based on my asking about the potatoes. But no. The beer was kinda warm, not at all what we have in Germany. We had a pretzel for an appetizer, the cheese tasted like green peppers and the $11.50 pretzel was nothing at all like we get in Germany. Would not recommend if you prefer authentic German food.

I was sooooooo wanting this place to be great; it was ok. Please read in full, my family and I might be (as she says) German food snobs, but I am from Berlin and with that said have had great German food in many places (in the US). We were told about this spot by my dad's neighbors and they warned us that it was "ok", but I'll never pass up a chance to try german cuisine and Bier! So they're are several things here to note, they have a weird schedule (closed from 3:30-4:30 on Saturdays and maybe others) for a place this seemingly slow, why turn anyone away? At least 3 pairs of customers were told they were closed and not in the nicest way (not mean or rude, just not welcoming) if it were me I might not return after that type of greeting. Secondly, our waitress/ hostess (bless her heart) didn't have a clue how to communicate with her guests. The place was empty, yet it took forever to get the appetizer Currywurst out. They also have a limited lunch menu... why? Lastly, the overall quality/ taste of the schnitzel (sandwich) and Currywurst was just "ok". Why not offer fries with the Currywurst mit rot weiß wie's sein soll?! I would've loved to meet the owner, I feel the place could be great with some tweaks, but right now sadly it's just that...."ok".

Never had real German food. (Don't think Wienerschnitzel fast food counts. ?). Thought I would give this place a shot. Food was good and the beer wasn't bad either. I am definitely going to go back to try other items.

Great food, especially when you are tired of the same ole stuff all the time, it was nice to try different foods that you don’t see around here. We tried several entrees and shared to get a variety and it was all good. Go try it!

Best food and customer service. A real taste from Germany. Loved everything I tried.

The worst German food I have ever had... Service was slow and horrible, the waitress knew nothing and could care less... We watched her talk to a couple for 15 mins before she even took our order... Then it took us over 2 hours to get our food... All the while we are watching people that came in after us getting multiple dishes served to them while we got bupkiss... The schnitzel was dry, bland, and straight from the freezer. The Spatzl tasted like half browned clumps of flour, ZERO seasoning... On top of that, the beer was warm... I really wanted this place to work out, some good german food is needed in the area... SO sad, we will not be going back...

German food is made with Love. My Schnitzel was not breaded. The bier was flat. We watched them change the keg after it was poured. The pan-fried potatoes were cold. When we asked the waiter about it. He said "Sorry, I don't know, I don't eat German food." No Love here.

Early dinner Sun 5/22. Three people at table, no waiting. Server came to take order, when we ordered a schnitzel she asked chicken or pork. chicken schnitzel is a food from Israel, not Germany. Food came in 20 min. my schnitzel was two 4"x 4" patties deep fried. meat was so dense had to push down on the knife to cut. It started as frozen not pounded meat, spatzel was mushy, green beans tasteless. Brown gravy was from a can or jar. Wife's plate, cabbage cold, mushrooms not cooked just put on top of meat. She did not eat and sent back, I ate some of mine. for the reviews who say authentic German food have never left their neighborhoods. Been to Germany 3 times. Have had all the authentic foods from Bavaria. This food was not German. Get cooks in the kitchen who know the food or close.

The chicken schnitzel was dry and the pork schnitzel was fatty. Both weren't very good. Their waitress Gabrielle was rude, brought the food out cold, and delivered the salad with the meal. On top of that she scolded us telling us a side salad means it comes with the meal! Just love young know it all's!

Ridiculously overpriced. $8.50 for a mug of lukewarm beer. Frozen chopped pork patty passed off as Schnitzel. Red cabbage side was room temperature. Warm potato salad had some flavor but was a far cry from the real thing. I wanted this place to be good as German food is hard to find around here. I won't be back.

We went the second week they were working on their soft opening. We waited to be seated for about 45 minutes. Once seated, we were informed that half the menu was out, but what we were able to order (cabbage, green beans, three sausages) was absolutely delicious. The servers desperately need more experience for recommendations and drink/food timing. It's very obvious they are still working to get on their feet and we genuinely are hoping they make it! We will be returning in a few months to visit again and I'll update my review.
