Great service. Eaten there several times but not since new owner took over in March. Food is still really good. Don’t read comments before March of 2024 if you want to know what it is like now. Loved the onion rings. Very clean restaurant Thank you The Lake Cafe.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the friend environment. I had breakfast on a Sunday morning drive and it will be a regular spot going forward. Amazing place and the drive is wonderful as well.
Great food!!! My husband and a friend had the chicken fried steak, it was done perfectly! I had a hamburger - it was delicious. Its a quaint restaurant with very nice staff. I used the ladies room, and much to my surprise, the walls had a beautiful mural on them-- totally unexpected!! (It was also very clean) When we are back in the area, will definitely be stopping there again!!!
They have the very best chicken fried steak I have eaten . I highly recommend it. It had two sides also I had banana.pudding. Mashed.potatoes are homemade.and.there were yeast rolls. The portions were pretty big too. I didn't care for the tea compared to how it was before, good tea is a big deal for any place. Hamburgers are good, really good meat, so far it looks like they use quality meats. I didn't care for the fries or tots but that could be because I took them home with me to eat and it wasn't straight from the kitchen so I will call that one on me and eat the next ones there. So far those are the things I have eaten and I will try different things. If you like chicken fried steak, you really need to try it once at least , it might mJe you try something else too, just to see if the next dish is as excellent, just like I will.
