This is no longer a free standing restaurant. It is located inside Turkey Mountain Feed & General Store (since Feb 2025 and as of this review in July 2025). There are two picnic tables outside for eating at. The staff is very kind and helpful. The tacos were very good (we tried carne asada, pollo, barbacoa, and al pastor). They come with grilled pineapple (which was fabulous), grilled onion, raw white onion, cilantro, lime, green sauce, red sauce and charro beans. We paid $20 for 8 tacos and it was a lot of food. I am happy for the price for the proportions. Not the best tacos I’ve had but very very good. I would come back if we were close by (I just maybe wouldn’t drive the 40 min we did tonight).

This was some of the best food I've had. Absolutely delicious.
Food was disgusting. I was so disappointed because I really wanted some delicious tacos. Shells taste old with a hint of burnt oil. Left such a bad taste in my mouth. I threw 3 tacos in the trash. Salsa was watered down. This was such a waste of my money.

I travel to Mexico a lot, and I have found tacos as good as taqueria Melendez.... Especially the chicharon tacos.... ? Also great service....
