I haven't eaten at golden chick in years because they werent run very well, but the hubby and I decided to try it tonight. Lord have mercy, whoever put the new management in place or the new workers, good job! This was the best meal I've had come out of that building yet! Rolls were hot and fresh, the fried chicken fell off the bone, and they got our entire order correct. Yell doing good things! Keep it up!

Today I went to golden chick and I am glad to report that I am never going back. I was originally gonna go to sonic but all the screens were broken, so I sadly had to go here. To be honest I wasn't expecting this to be great but MY GOD it was horrible. So I walked in and I got an "original" spicy chicken sandwich. After we ordered I went to the restroom and it was a run of the mill dirty restaurant bathroom, and it wouldn't lock but I came back and sat down and it was also FREZZING in there. Anyway my food came on a tray straight out of a middle school, it was honestly sad but now it's time for the food. So I tried the fry's first and the crunch was good but there was ZERO SEASONING!! I had to add 2 SALT PACKETS. But the sandwich was even worse. First off the top bun looked like the employees took turns pocking their fingers in the bread because it was VERY deformed, but I took a bite and it literally tasted LIKE NOTHING. I was shocked they managed to make a sandwich tasted like air. And the chicken and bread were SUPER DRY and looked and tasted exactly like KFC. if they are secretly stealing their chicken I would not be surprised. The only semi decent thing here was the free ice cream but it tasted like I was eating straight up vanilla extract. All in all, don't go here, cheap and dirty, describes the place, and the food.

Called before we left Wall, Tx after my son’s basketball game to confirmed hours. We went in at 8:36 and were told we could order to go but we’re not allowed to order to dine in. Based on the reviews ( I wished I read earlier) seems to be a similar experience to many others. We chose to leave and go support another business.

Customer service was not good. My daughter was not allowed to choose 2 sides with a meal deal (as per the menu) because she opted for a cup of water as her drink option. The woman behind the counter was very abrasive and rude insisting that a cup of water is equivalent in value to a 30 Oz fountain drink. When I told her that we would just have a fountain drink since we were being charged for it, she was very irritated that she would have to re-enter the food choice into her register system. (Even though she changed nothing). We will not return. Well done small-town management.

The food was good, but the service was not good at all. The young lady that took our order seemed annoyed we were even there and even more so when we opted to dine in instead of carryout even though we were there an hour before they were closing. Our order took almost 20 minutes to be ready. She ended up locking the doors at 8:30 when the hours posted were until 9:00. I guess she wanted to spend time with her friends that were dining there instead of working.

Ballinger Texas.This was the nastiest restaurant I've ever been in. The door, drink machines, tables, and windows were all dirty and greasy, food crumbs on the floors and tables. Some kinda greasy batter on the napkin dispenser. An employee picked up condiments off the nasty foor and put them back in the dispenser. The chicken taste weird, okra was old and chewy, the gravy was lumpy and taste like it had been reheated. The fries were ok. This place was gross.Very disappointed for a $67 purchase. Never again.
My family chicken tender meal was excellent! The lady who helped me was awesome and quite nice.
