This place was so charming--the couple who run it were so delightful! The food was also great--after several days of indulging in Texas bbq, our California stomachs were ready for something light and fresh. The strawberry salad with feta and almonds was delicious, and I loved the vinaigrette--it was the homemade version of what that weird red "French dressing" that I hated as a kid was apparently trying to be! So good! The lettuce wraps with chicken salad and bacon were also fantastic, as was the creamy Italian sausage soup. Endless amounts of iced tea rounded everything out, and I was sad we didn't have time to try the crepes. If I ever find myself in Ballinger, TX again I will definitely be back!

What a find! This is a wonderful locally owned French restaurant. The food was very flavorful and good and reasonably priced! I got the chicken picatta special and my husband got the spinach salad. And Sylvia the owner came to our table and talked with us!

We have never had a bad meal here. Everything Sylvia makes is freshly made each day. You start off with one of her amazing soups, then on to your entree. They have a special every day. You will find it written on the chalkboard inside the restaurant. They do have a menu full of yummy options as well!Victor & Sylvia are wonderful hosts. We stop here every chance we get when in Ballinger or passing through.

Sweet couple that owns and works at the place. The food was amazing! I got the baked chicken sandwich and the chicken was super juicy. My husband got the special and it was delicious.
Food was excellent. Serving size was ..you won't leave hungry! Service was delivered with a smile and very warm & welcoming demeanor. Loved it.

I really enjoy their menu. It is nice to have something bedside Mexican food as an option. The owners are so kind and friendly. Cute restaurant atmosphere. Plates are $8-$14 each. They have a daily special and I have not been disappointed yet. The only negative is that they are not open for dinner and have restricted hours.

Wonderful find in Ballinger! Sylvia’s special is a must-today Chicken Florentine, curry rice and Parmesan zucchini with zuppa toscana, all excellent. Sylvia’s in the kitchen and willing to chat about her food.Just her and her husband, but worth any wait that might entail. If you don’t have time to enjoy good food, you must like drive thrus…Also good selection of coffee and tea.
