My family has gone to ElZarape since the early 70s. Every chance I get to go to Bay City, ElZarape is a must. Every other Mexican food restaurant is compared to ElZarape. For me it's the gold standard. Now if they only had that pecan pie Daddy used to tease them about at the old location lol

Went there for our (grown) kids birthday with the extended family. The staff was great and helped stash a cake for after dinner. The steak and cheese enchiladas was great and cooked exactly as requested. I just moved back to the area but the family here knew lots of other patrons! Lots of greetings going on.

Combination Plates are the best!!!! Enchiladas are soooo good and the Chili Con queso Chip is delish too.... the Chalupa also has ground beef yummmmm and Crispy Taco is on point... All for $9.99... can't beat that!!! ♥️♥️♥️

We are working in Bay City .. we are from Humble TX. And we happened to Google Mexican food and we decided on on El Zarape.. and I WILL TELL YOU.. THEY ARE BEYOND GREAT!! THE food and service was OUTSTANDING . Fast.. great service and every bite (of my Friday 2 beef taco lunch special) was more delicious than the but B4 it.. we will definitely be back.. oh the Margaritas were also PERFECT.. PRICES PRETTY REASONABLE for the times we're living in.. DO NOT HESITATE ANOTHER SECOND Choose A 1 ...5+ ?...A++ and go to El Zarape!!
