Wonderful lunch spot! We stopped by on our way to Matagorda, with our small dog, and were welcomed warmly as long as we were wiling to sit on the patio (we were). The fans made it comfortable even in the July heat, and the staff were fantastic at coming out to check on us, even though we were the only ones sitting outside.
The food was delicious - you can really tell everything is made with top-notch ingredients. Fresh tomatoes, perfectly ripe avocados, homemade flour tortillas cooked to perfection...it was all fantastic! I would happily eat here again, any time we are in the area!

This a party on a plate! The large guacamole bowl was fun for 4 people. Its huge! The margaritas are super fun and artistic. The enchiladas and tacos are amazing! The service was great, it was a Friday night with a DJ, and people were having fun. Loved it, loved it, loved it!

During a recent family lunch, I opted for the ribeye tacos. Regrettably, the portion size of the steak in each taco was significantly less than anticipated, approximately 2 ounces total for all three. The tacos were garnished with onions and a minimal amount of avocado. Considering the price point, the value proposition was not satisfactory. While I considered addressing the issue, I ultimately decided against requesting a replacement due to time constraints and the desire to avoid further delay.

We travel down to Matagorda for Family Vacation every year. There isn't much for variety in Matagorda. We frequent Snappers but it can be hot (Tent Restaurant) & pricey. We took a chance and drove to Bay City to visit Vallarta Mexican Grill. The food was great. Family had Birria Tacos with Consume, California Burrito (Pastor/ Avocado), Kids Burrito Plate, & a combo plate with Enchiladas with Crispy Taco. Lots of Chips and Salsa. Grandma enjoyed her House Margarita. Food was great. Service was exceptional. Atmosphere perfect ( music at the right volume not blaring.) We found a new favorite spot. Thanks Vallarta's!

This company is charging over 10% sales tax on their items, I will be reporting this to the FTC and the IRS!
Poor service they don’t care about what they do nor take responsibility on their mistakes,would not recommend coming here

We visited on Saturday from out of town. It was our first visit. Those chips are thick and heavy. And they were our least favorite of the food we had. It's a shame too because the salsa is so good and so was the queso.. but the chips ruined it for us. I saw a plate delivered by our waitress and said I just have that.. it was called El Capitan and it was fried catfish with a Mexican type etoufee on top. My friend got the plate that had enchiladas and a taco that replaced his guacamole. Our food was pretty good. I don't live in that town.. but would never go back due to those chips. PLUS. They add a credit card fee to every ticket. Even if you're paying cash.. that's no BUENO!!

Wait staff was very polite and knowledgeable with the menu and had very good suggestions. Drinks never went below half full before a waiter was asking to refill your cup.

I love stopping by this place. When I'm in Bay City, the food is always great. And the prices are reasonable. The only problem is, the waite staff is terrible. I get different waite staff every time they're all the same. They'd never come by your table after your food is served to see if you need anything. And when you are ready for your ticket, you have to flag them down, because they don't come back to the table
