Super sweet people! From the owner on down. I live 35 mins away, and repeatedly make the drive out there because it’s the best boudin, cracklings, etc.. on this side of the Texas/Lousisna Border.

I actually just walked out, and was disheartened to hear how some woman, posted a super negative review because she didn’t like the consistency of the chicken cracklings. Wild, because that’s my favorite part😅. She went on a whole rant about how she paid $40 for 2 pounds of cracklings, as if someone forced her to buy them🤣 or like she couldn’t see them right there on the counter before she purchased them. The staff are too sweet, and the food is too good for that kinda review. Disregard that ladies review, and go check them out for yourself! You won’t regret it!

DONT BE FOOLED!!! This place let me down by false advertisement. I drove over an hour to get here for some chicken CRACKLINS. What they gave me was chicken SKINS. HUGE difference. Then had the nerve to charge $20 a pound. For CHICKEN SKIN! I purchased 2 POUNDS. Not one crackling in the entire order. Im so furious right now. I really need my money back, but Im sure that will never happen because Im NEVER going back there again. I know they know the difference between CRACKLINS and skins. For those that don't, let me break it down. Chicken CRACKLINS, think pork CRACKLINS. Crunchy skin with some meat attahed to it. Chicken SKINS, that's like Baken-ets pork skins or chips. That's what they are selling and calling it crackling. $45 for chicken skin. I hope they go out of business soon!
Since I am unable to reply to the message I got, I will edit it here because this has to be addressed. I would hate for others to be decieved like I was. I'll paraphrase. So basically I was told that due to the high temperature its cooked at, it causes burnt pieces and they remove it for better quality. Here is my question, how is it that when I go to other places and get crackling, that's what they give me. Its not burnt or anything. Multiple places. So this means that you are preparing them wrong or you are full of it, and you are false advertising. Lastly, I wouldn't care if the price was $30 a pound as long as I get actual crackling, and not skins. No meat AT ALL in an entire 2 pounds. And you trying justify charging $45 for that. FOH

My wife stopped here on her way back from Louisiana cos I was fussing about her not picking up some authentic Cajun food en route to houston. Somehow, she located this place, I was initially against her stopping so late in the evening. Well, long story short, it was the best experience. The attendant ended up giving her more than she asked for, the crawfish pie OMG! The crackling rinds and ribs reminded me of my time in Oberlin, LA. This is the spot to go to. I don't do many reviews, but when I discover spots Like this, I take them dear to the heart. You really got to experience it for yourself.

An absolute gem in the Mont Belvieu/Baytown area. Food is always delicious, lovely staff, of course the food will be expensive so be prepared but it's 100% worth it!

I wish I lived closer. Definitely a must try you can’t go wrong with anything you choose. Only thing I recommend is to offer shipping. I order beef online already. I know costs incurred. Most reasonable consumers wouldn’t mind.

By far the closest thing I have tasted to true Louisiana boudin in the Houston area.
