This Lubys does a great Job on their food, always being fresh ??However; they tend to only serve one potato side here, mash potatoes.I come from downtown Houston where I have lived since 2007 before moving to Baytown a few months ago.I have called almost every day and asked them what potato sides they are having, on that particular day. Unfortunately the the answer is almost the same except for 3 of the days out of the past 4 months. Mash Potatoes.”IMO, it’s unfortunate, bcz they often make some of the best potatoes related sides, like “Bourbon Potatoes, German Fried Potatoes & one of my favs, New Potatoes.”Just be prepared if dining here, if you are use up other area of Texas where there is plenty of variety served up in the way of there potato selections, this might be one of the locations you may want I to skip?Ruth that being days, the employees are ALWAYS hospitable & welcoming.

Lubys is the place for vegetable soup. However with a ghetto staff that doesn't even know the name of salad dressings. Staff standing over a food line serving food holding their eyes with a wet paper towel one staff member came out of the restroom with gloves on a went right back into the kitchen where the food was being cooked. Smh. I was really taken aback.

If you go there early (5pm-630pm) food quality ad service is amazing. You're taking your chances anytime after that. As they run out of options the later in dinner service they get. The rolls are hard at the bottom later in the evening, the entrees becomes less and less plentiful, and the sides as well. Get there early and get the best food they have. Nice, fresh, and delicious.Vegetarian options: Tons of vegetarian/vegan options around for that type of eater.Dietary restrictions: If you have any, tell the service staff and they will be more than happy to help you with your needsParking: No worries about parkingWheelchair accessibility: Many many spots by front door for handicap parking

This Luby's is always particularly good! The food is always fresh and tastes great. A lot of people don't realize that everything on the menu is cooked from scratch! Not many places can say that. The selection is always awesome from meats, poultry & fish to salads, vegetables, breads and deserts.The service is always attentive and friendly.Luby's will ALWAYS be one of my 'Go-to' places.

Where's the good food Luby's was known for? The quality of the food is terrible and not the same like it used to be. I visited it today and their isn't a variety of vegetables. The corn was very dark. The rolls are very small. There wasn't any green beans or cabbage. There needs to be improvement in the food. Where's the spaghetti, chicken tetrazinni and the fried cod? The macaroni and cheese with baked shredded cheese melted on top? The quality and variety of foods needs to improve!!!!!!
