Café Piquet never disappoints, but this visit was truly exceptional thanks to our amazing server, CARLOS. He is absolutely spectacular — attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. Carlos took the time to recommend the best dishes, and every suggestion was spot on.
The plantain soup he recommended was outstanding — rich, comforting, and absolutely delicious. You can tell when a dish is made with care and tradition, and this one was unforgettable.
From the warm atmosphere to the authentic flavors and, most importantly, the excellent service, this was a perfect dining experience. Carlos truly elevates the restaurant with his professionalism and genuine hospitality.
Highly recommend Café Piquet, and if you’re lucky enough to be served by Carlos, you’re in for a treat!

I have been going to Cafe Piquet since 1997. The last couple of times I’ve visited I have been dissatisfied with the food. Today, the pernil was dry and flavorless, and the beans had no flavor at all. The quality and flavor of the food has been deteriorating as the prices increase, and rice and beans become side dishes.
This is not the Cafe Piquet I always ran to when I wanted to eat great Cuban food.

The atmosphere is cozy, quaint, and incredibly inviting—filled with rich, warm tones and beautiful photos from Cuba that make you feel like you’ve stepped straight into the heart of the island. If Cuba feels anything like this place, it must be breathtaking.
The energy inside is unmatched. It’s calm, welcoming, and full of life all at the same time. The staff is incredible—so friendly, so genuine—and those Cuban accents? Wow. Aside from being undeniably charming, they add to the authenticity and make the whole experience feel truly real, like you’re dining in an actual Cuban home or café.
The food is spectacular. There are so many great options, and everything we tried was delicious and full of flavor. I haven’t tried the drinks yet, so I can’t speak on that, but based on the food alone, I can only imagine they’re just as impressive.
Overall, we had a wonderful time. This place isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an experience. If you’re looking for authentic Cuban vibes, amazing food, and a warm, unforgettable atmosphere, this is the spot. 💛🇨🇺 OK one thing I will say as we were sitting outside and some music would’ve been amazing.js

So unfortunate, They cater our wedding 3 years ago. But we had to chase them to give us a quote and they never answer the phone to place the orders. Their voice mail is always full so is hard to leave a message . Today we were trying to order again for our son birthday. We started calling since Saturday. Today I call and someone told me they will call me back. Your food is good but is other places (cuban food ) they do need the business.
Just got takeout including roast pork dinner. Got home to find there was no rice which is the wife's favorite part with black beans. Also, on a previous order by phone we were charged separately for the sides which should have been included.

The food was shockingly bad. If I ever crave something this stale again, I’ll save my money and reheat leftovers from my own fridge — they’d be ten times better.
And can someone explain the extra charge for white rice? It’s not even included with the main dishes. Honestly, is that because it’s the only thing they cook fresh?
