Review: Decent BBQ and Burgers, But Not Worth a Detour ??I recently visited Charlie’s BBQ and Hamburgers for some BBQ and burgers, and while the experience had its highlights, it fell short in some areas.Let’s start with the BBQ: the chicken and ribs were decent, but nothing to write home about. They lacked that wow factor and left me craving something more flavorful. However, I must admit, the BBQ sauce was a standout - tangy, sweet, and just the right amount of smoky goodness.Now onto the burgers: While they were flavorful, there was something off about them. They didn’t quite taste like real meat, which was a bit weird and disappointing. However, if you’re open to non-traditional burger experiences, you might enjoy them.On the bright side, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Their warm hospitality definitely added to the overall atmosphere of the restaurant.In conclusion, if you happen to be in the area, it’s worth stopping by Charlie’s bbq and burgers for a bite. But I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit again. There are better BBQ joints and burger spots out there.
Been coming here since 2004 for lunch. Their chopped beef sandwich is delicious. In my opinion, they have best ranch dressing in town. Goes great with their French fries!

We ordered our food to go. BBQ tasted good but was dry. But that night, all my co-workers were sick as dogs! Stomach cramping, throwing up and diarrhea. Thank you for the food poisoning. Never ordering from here again and never suggesting to friends.
Brisket was bland and dry and definitely does not melt in your mouth lol like someone said below. Ribs were nothing special. Food tasted old and microwaved when me and my wife went, and then the audacity to have a tipping option on the receipt when you literally have to carry everything yourself to your seat. To top it off they werent exactly friendly more like trying more to rush you thru. Not coming here again. Take your good earned money to Blood Bros or Truth BBQ, brisket there is 100 times better.

I honestly do not know why this place gets 4 stars. It was not good at, let's start with the service line.... I told the people at the serving line that this was our 1st time here, you would think that they would try to pump up what they were selling, right? Nope. I had those two people continuously asking me and my party what we wanted over and over. So I settled for the two meat plate: brisket and sausage I specifically asked for MOIST brisket and the dude just flip the brisket meat over and cut from the other side. Was it moist, Hell Nah. The sausage was boring and the guy drowned it all with their BBQ sauce I got coleslaw and green beans, they were ok. Even the bread was dry. My bestie got a chicken fried steak she said it tasted like a frozen chicken fried steak that was nuked in the microwave to thaw out and then cooked in a toaster oven. The gravy tasted like milk with seasonings. My son had a pulled pork sandwich he said it was ok. $68 for us to eat, and I wasn't worth it at all. No stars.

Amazing atmosphere. I came here because I was next door at the surgical center and I'm so happy I stopped in. Super nice staff and AMAZING FOOD! A great place to stop by from out of town ☺️

First and last visit. Line servers are as communicative as a fence post, resulting in having to deal with being double charged. Buffet rice cool, not even lukewarm. Ordered Special Tues Tacos. One taco ruined by watery ice cold salsa, other barely lukewarm. What was good? Soupy beans wete hot. Plate promptly served.

Absolutely delicious!!! We had 40 guests for a professional organization's dinner last Sunday, ACRHouston. Our guests went back for seconds and thirds for the au gratin, slaw, BBQ, and sausage!! Calls of thanks for a delicious event have kept me busy all week. The food was delivered on time very hot and it stayed hot and juicy. Wonderful experience with perfect food !
