Ordered pick up ahead of time at 12pm and earliest pick up time was 1:40pm. Placed order and got text 5 mins later saying order ready for pick up. I call them and they said “yes it’s ready now, we leave them under a heating lamp” I go pick up and the green sauce smells like sobaco, so nasty. Tamales are dry and old, just disgusting now. This place was good 2 years ago but not anymore, tamales are not fresh and ordering a future order, they won’t make them fresh. Very disappointing, will not be back.

I placed an order for pick up on 12/21/24 at their Sienna location for a Christmas dinner. Showed up and the place doesn’t exist! I had to call the main location and was told they closed at 12 noon. Well why not place that info on the pick up times, or perhaps close out the pick up time after 12 noon. I was told they wouid issue a refund and still nothing. I disputed the charge with my bank, only to wake up to an email they’re “further investigating it”. I’m placing this review as evidence my ticket shows picked up and I NEVER PICKED UP THE TAMALES!!! FRAUD!

Ordered online. ($75). Said in a text and email to pick up in Fulshear! Drove an hour, they were a no show no call! Tried the number on order website, said wasn't taking calls, Call store in beellaire, they wanted me to drive another 2 hours out of my way to pick up. Ended up having to cancel my order ruining our dinner for the weekend! No one honors their commitments anymore!!

READ Honest review I love Tamales and very picky eater. The first time I had tamales from here was at the Braeswood farmers market they tasted good and fresh. However this second time I went to the actual location not greeted or friendly service . I went early thinking opening time thinking they're made fresh. Turns out only the outside was hot!!!! When I got home the tamales were cold seemed over heated. The meat was dry on both the pork and chicken, more the chicken it tasted pretty bad I only ate one my kid one. We all agreed definely NOT fresh or homemade they tasted like the machine tamales. The green sauce was not spicy at all and very thin. Please avoid mamas their quality freshness went down and pricey not worth it for taste and dryness. Take my advice I love my Hispanic food but this definely not authentic or fresh. My last time will rather drive to the Alamo. See photos they don't even look tasty.

The first time we bought tamales from Mama's we ordered and picked them up the next day. Tamales were fresh, and very delicious! The past 2 times we purchased, something went wrong. Tamales tasted very old. We ordered brisket, chicken and pork. The pork was dry and way too spicy, in which we never tasted them spicy and didn't ask for spicy. I cannot eat spicy food and I'm the only one who eats the pork Tamales. I had to throw them out! The brisket and chicken was also very dry meat inside the Tamales. Nobody cared to eat them because of the dry meat. Total disappointment even after I asked were they fresh, only to be lied too. With everything being said, we will not be eating anymore Tamales from here. I was very disappointed, "What happened because you're going to lose customers, just like you've lost our family?

Worst tamales I have ever eaten. Way too much matzo and not enough stuffing. Very dry and tasteless. Side green sauce was ok but not great. Heb or Kroger tamales much better. Sorry never going back. Not good and expensive for poor quality

The tamales had too much masa and too little filling. I ordered 4 dozen tamales for my mother's birthday party - brisket/cheese, chicken/cheese, black bean/cheese, spinach/cheese and they all tasted the same, like masa. The green salsa was tasty.
