Last night I had the pleasure of having dinner with my wife at Tejas Mexican restaurant in downtown Whitewright.I want to thank Eric for his support for my candidacy for city council. I cannot say enough great things about Tejas Mexican Grill. Their food is amazing. I’ve never had anything I didn’t like from there. It’s always fresh and delicious. They have the best shrimp fajitas around. Their staff is very welcoming, friendly, and patient. I have a three year old and was eating with a friend who has a two year old. The two children were playing, running, and laughing. The owner laughed and played with them and told us to enjoy our children while they are young. It was a great feeling to know that we could eat comfortably and our kids could have fun. The staff treats their customers like family.

This evening was our first time to visit Tejas. We met the owner Eric and had a wonderful visit about his family’s restaurant experience. Our waitress was very attentive and the restaurant was very clean and inviting. The food was amazing! We ordered queso, Chicken fajitas and a ground beef chimichanga. We also had a strawberry margarita and a cheese enchilada with chili sauce. Everything was perfect. We will definitely be back!

I was first fearful of booking reservations online for this FABULOUS little restaurant..as most small town restaurants pay little attention to online reservations. Was I ever so wrong... we were greeted by the owner, Eric, upon arrival, and it was immediate by his reception of our party of 7 that we all agreed we very much looked forward to dining there. And the food was beyond excellent. If anyone traveling through this town or within 100 miles doesn't dine at Tejas Mexican Grill, you're missing the opportunity to meet a wonderful owner, staff, great atmosphere, and the best food ever. Thank you, Eric, for making our visit to your establishment so memorable.
