I’ve been going around Temple & Belton lately looking for a great burger. Backyard is EXTREMELY OVERPRICED for such LOW QUALITY. Had the cheeseburger, bun was hard and meat was dry, fries were old & cold when they came out. Go to Wes’s at 1st & Ave M for a great burger! Or cross the street to Jody’s for an even better one! And at a lower price.

Wow I drive thru and get drinks all the time and get sausage wraps and a drink and they charge 1.00 each for the drinks. Tonight I ordered food and they tell me they charge 2.99 for each drink if you’re ordering food. Be consistent no where in your menu does it state that.

Went in there establishment 12/26/25. The service was the worst that I have ever had. 3 servers standing around waited 10 minutes. Still nothing. Left their. And went to the Commonwealth restaurant. Great service.. Didn't have to wait at all .Service with a smile . Won't be going back to Back Yard BBQ..

Small bbq place middle of nowhere. Generous portions, good flavors, decent prices. Service was also on par. We went in Saturday evening before the light trail. My husband and I shared a regular 3 meat plate and a small onion rings. $23 out the door. I personally would not drive all the way back there for this place but if your in Belton by the lake check them out!

The food i ordered was made wrong old disgusting molding food you have to be hammered not to notice everything went in the trash THEY SHOULD GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK WARNING TO ANYONE DO NOT EAT THERE I FEEL SO SICK JUST FROM THE FEW BITES I TOOK! IM SERIOUSLY PUKING AND FEEL NAUSEOUS!
The restaurant had a new but definitely stayed true to the texas bbq joint vibe. We were just passing through, it was easy to tell it is well known by the locals. The service was great, attentive waiter and the food was pretty good. My brisket was pretty good (a little dry but nothing thay would qualify as a deal breaker). I wouldn't think twice about going back when in town.

Backyard BBQ is one of the best places to grab BBQ, Burgers, or even a Loaded Baked Potato!! And of course, your Favorite Adult Beverages too!! The Food is Fresh, Hot!, and served by Friendly Waitresses with a Smile.. 😃 Backyard BBQ is a Family place, not just another Burger / BBQ joint.. So, you can bring your kids here too!! There's about 8 or more TV's that have Sports on usually.. So, all you Sports fanatics can celebrate your favorite teams, after a long day at work, or after you get done chasing that little white ball, for 18 holes.. Or if you just want to meet up with your friends.. I've been eating here usually once a week, for alittle over 4 years now, and I have only had to ask for my fries to be cooked longer.. I like my fries crispy.. They made me another batch, within a few minutes.. When you go to Backyard BBQ, ask for Chelsea!! She's short, But Long on Service with Friendly Smile, and if it's not right?? Chelsea will make it right!! Tell her Dexter sent ya!! 😎

We ordered $50 worth of bbq (brisket and chicken) and it was nasty 🤢 the brisket wasn’t chewable and lacks seasonings , with brisket tasting like that it’s impossible to believe this is a bbq restaurant and not a kid doing it for fun! I’m beyond disappointed!
