I’m super late on posting this, but mom brain ❤️ Cake by the Lake did 3 amazing Alice in Wonderland themed birthday cakes for my daughter’s 1st Birthday. Two were single tiered smash cakes (one for birthday party, one for actual birthday) and one was a two tier cake to serve. All were red velvet. They were all gorgeous and thought through. We also ordered frosted cookies. There was zero disappointment. I wish I had taken better/more pictures.

My daughters asked for an Elsa castle for their birthday cake and they delivered a beautiful cake! It looked almost too good to eat! Good thing we did eat it though, because it was delicious.

The charcuterie platter was so yummy. We decided to get a slice of chocolate cake to try and oh my goodness... it was seriously the best! I'm mad I didn't buy the whole cake haha! Check them out for sure!

Small, quant, perfect little bakery. I needed a cake last minute and they had a beautiful little almond vanilla that was fantastic. As a caterer, I always recommend them because I've had their cakes at weddings and birthdays. Very friendly and sweet. Support this small business! @

I called the day of my daughters birthday party for a cake to feed 25. They accommodated my theme and without hesitation made me a cake the same day along with cupcakes. I don’t know if this cake was fresh or refrigerated but it was AMAZING! Everybody loved it! and i was telling everyone where i went! Thank you for working with us and giving us your best! I will be coming back to this little place. ❤️

The pictures of the cakes I see online here are beautiful. Maybe I came at the wrong time to experience is full potential. This was my first time here and I was excited to go but everything I asked for, menu, cup cakes, cake boxes, etc they were out of. Plus some lady made a comment abt the cake will still taste the same being in a different container. Well guess what the cake was garbage. I paid $5 and $6 for 2 slices of poorly cut cake that was dry with no taste. The 2 stars are for decorating the cake to make it look like it was good. It's a no for me for this place.
I made cake reservations weeks in advance for a birthday event. I sent a picture of what I wanted to the number that was provided by the bakery. I never got confirmation but assumed everything was good to go. I arrive at the bakery for my scheduled pick up time (1000am) and discover 2 handwritten signs on the door stating they will not be open til 1200pm. I never received an email, text or phone call about the time change. I did not receive my cake for my event within the time I needed and it is not at all what I wanted. They did not communicate that they could not do the font I requested so upon arrival I see the words I wanted printed on “edible paper”. It looks rushed and sloppy. This was a waste of time, energy and money.

Ordered one of their large pies for a family gathering. Oh my, it was one of the best I have ever eaten! Will definitely be back. Other family members love them as well. Love supporting my local mom and pop businesses!

Oh my goodness! If you have never been to Cakes by the Lake I encourage you do make a trip there!! They have some of the best scones I've ever had! Everytime I go in there, I just ask them to "start a box" because there are so many yummy things that I end up getting nearly one of everything!!
