We found this great little Asian food resturaunt after a trip to HEB on Lake Road. It is tucked into the shopping strip behind the gas pumps at HEB. Happy Teriyaki has a Korean feel to it and most of the food is teriyaki themed. It is a small resturaunt that will probably seat ~35 when full. There are four or five seats at a small sushi bar as well. We had the Gyoza (dumpling) appetizer. It came hot and very tasty with a side of citrus dipping sauce. The 8 piece order is more than enough for two people. I ordered the chicken and egg roll lunch special ($12.99). The lunch specials include rice and a salad. The grilled chicken was fresh and hot. The thing I liked is that it was not processed chicken patty that the resturaunt supply companies sometimes provide. Rice was fresh and just the right amount of sticky. The salad dressing was a mayo based mix that was OK, but a miso or ginger dressing would be a nice touch. The portions were large especially for a lunch special. I wound up taking about half the meal home. It took a few minutes to get the order in, but they were very busy and understaffed. The speed at which the food was served made up for any delay in taking the order though. Totally recommend this place for service, value and quality.

Only problem I have is online their prices say one thing when you come in the prices are totally different when i said something she said oh that was price's from 3 years ago and they havent changed it well it needs to be up dated need to change that because that's false advertisement people are expecting to pay one thing but come in and it's something totally different other than that FOOD IS GOOD
I cannot rave about this place enough! I got the Sushi Nachos and they were ahhhmaaazinggg! My friend got the short rib bento box and the short ribs had amazing as well! I will definitely come back!

woooow! My husband and I are Vegan and although they have vegan options we wanted to try non vegan so we order teriyaki chicken and shrimp, and salmon baked rolls and so amazing , staff was excellent and owner was very hospitable we will be back 😊

I really wanted to love this place, especially since there are so many good reviews. Even though the food was not great, the staff was AMAZING, our waitress was super nice and helpful. It was very clean as well. The food left a lot to be desired. The teriyaki sauce was super delicious but the chicken was dry and to be completely honest, everything is overpriced. Might try it again in the future at a different day at time (I was there in the evening around 6pm).
FYI-DO NOT TRY TO USE UBER TO HAVE DELIVERED!! That’s false advertising by UberEats. We love the simple salad they provide with meals totally delicious. The fried foods aren’t the least bit greasy. We had chicken teriyaki and what great flavor. Side of tempura shrimp so crisp, not greasy but wonderful flavor. Small business but great flavorful food. Thank you

I was taken by surprise— random pick coming back from corpus to Dallas. First thing I noticed was how cleaned it smelled walking in and the food was phenomenal. Authentic, fresh, hot, best general toas I’ve had and the wonton soup!! ….. if your looking for the perfect soup on a cold day or if you are sick and need some chicken noodle soup— get this instead 😇 Jayden was so sweet and took good care of us.
