I hate to say it but after trying this establishment several times, I have noticed the lack of clean crawfish. Very small, field run, not washed/purged, some that were clearly dead/smashed prior to boiling, and some even under cooked with an off consistency on a squishy tail vs firm. Best of luck with everything but I have had my fair share of inconsistencies. I will atleast say they have good flavor and aren't ALWAYS this way. Maybe 3 out of like 7 or 8 times I've bought crawfish here. Hopefully they can get those kinks worked out.

We come here at least 3 times a month at the food truck location in Belton… first couple times ordering, I actually believed I found a good spot… it’s hit or miss at the food truck. Today our crab legs were watery, lightly seasoned. I ordered the 2 crab legs and 10 shrimp combo twice… first time I got 4 shrimp, second time I got 6, along with 3 potatoes 1 corn and 1 sausage for $40. The seafood is good, no complaints there… but the portions and quality has been the issue my last two times going… but I’d did call and let them know, and she agreed to fix it, and I appreciate that… but today is my last time going.. the servings are inconsistent, and the quality is declining… and after two bad orders back to back, it’s time for me to find a new spot. Hi! We visited today and the food was phenomenal!!! We were a bit worried that the quality would be less than normal since nobody was there but were very pleased that it was as wonderful as always!

I’ve been following them on Facebook for a while but I live about 40 minutes away. After a long work week I finally drove over and got 10lbs of crawfish and BOY was it worth it! The flavor was awesome. And the girl working the truck was so sweet! Will be back and definitely recommend!

This was my first time ordering from here. It was my birthday dinner to myself. The Seafood Boil was delicious! I even have enough left over for a second meal. I will be coming back! 😋
Given this place many tries after following their Facebook page and seeing the owner really trying to succeed but there’s always something from making it a good visit. Called in an order yesterday @4. Got to the new location right before 4:30. went to the orange truck to ask if I was at the correct truck because I called in an order earlier. Gave them my name, ticket was checked and confirmed I was at the right truck. Was told it was 10 more minutes for crawfish. Around 15 minutes later, I was flagged down and given someone else’s order which I let her know. I was then told I was at the wrong truck and needed to go to the red truck. Went to the red truck, she said she was never given my order and would be another 15 minute wait for crawfish. At this point it was 50 minutes after I called in. Left with NO food. Left a comment on their Facebook page and was blocked by the owner. Very unprofessional.

Daughter and husband absolutely loved the seafood ! The atmosphere was great! We love visiting and supporting local owned restaurants/ food trucks !
Also! If you’re looking to a boil at home get your bags from RUSTY!! His prices will beat the others, not to mention it’s a fresh as if you were right on the water !!!
Always had amazing food here. Appreciate a family owned business who makes it all fresh! Can't wait to visit again soon in the new location!

Hands down BEST seafood, crab crawfish in CENTRAL TEXAS. The owner has a fb page where he posts all updates, daily deals, pricing, and let's us know where the food truck is going to be, he leaves one in Belton & takes the other one to local towns around CTX. The staff are amazing, the food has always been on point and the prices are better than anyone around. We've purchased live crawfish at an AMAZING price, many times, and cooked meal platters with all the crab, crawfish, shrimp or anything else. Our whole family loves dining at Rusty Shells!!!!

I ordered the lobster plate. The menu said it was $20. When the waitress came with the tab she charged me almost $40 saying the lobster they gave me was bigger than the other ones. (It was a small lobster), and I was not informed of this until I paid. After I asked the waitress this she walked away. If you eat here just be prepared to pay more than what the menu says the food costs.
