Flying all day leaves you hungry and tired. We knew we needed to stop and get a bite to eat but being new to the DFW metroplex we just stopped at the closest restaurant on the map. That is how we ended up at the Lone Star Grill in Benbrook TX A quick review showed overall 4.9 stars so I tried to not judge the book by its cover. Once inside we realized this is a comfort food down home cooking place. Plenty of choices for everyone. We settled on a Cayenne Chicken sandwich with/fries...
The family and I ate here tonight for the first time.
The boy had chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, and green beans. Plus a side of sweet potato fries.
The woman had chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, and carrots.
I had a bacon cheeseburger with fries.
The woman said the carrots were the best she ever had. Cooked perfectly and sweet tasting.
