This was the first time we had been to O'Brien's and what a marvelous hidden gem it was. We were greeted by Pat O'Brien who was so delightful. He made some recommendations for wine pairing and the main course that turned out to be spot on. My husband and I had the special of the evening which was Halibut with a scrumptious sauce that was cooked to perfection. It literally melted in my mouth. Pat also recommended the Basil Vinaigarette with our salad which again was amazing. Can't wait to go back.

Such a cozy place. I traveled from Arizona during the week of the 2024 eclipse. Despite the rush, I was seated quickly and served amazing food and drink. It's unfortunate that I don't live in Texas, but if I did I would always come back.

I think only my dish was not good. I ordered the fish and 2 shrimp plate with fries and cole slaw. The fries were under cooked and limp, the shrimp had an odd after taste, the cole slaw tasted good but the cabbage pieces were huge. The fish was excellent, flakey with a nice crispy. Sad about this dish since it was one of the specials. And it did take a while for our food to come.Parking: The parking is a small lot off the road.

O'Brien's is a hidden gem on Hwy. 46 in Bergheim, TX, near Boerne. Don't let the former service station building fool you. The food is excellent, as is the service. And the wine list is better than average. If you are anywhere close this is a strong recommend!

I was in Bergheim today, so I stopped in to have lunch at O'Brien's. I ordered a house salad, and the meat loaf. I decide cheat and ordered the hand-cut French fries for a side. Unsweetened ice tea was my drink of choice.The salad was fresh, and meat loaf and hand-cut fries were good -- I liked everything I had.My server took great care of me. I was very satisfied with the food and the service I received while I was there. I did not run out of ice tea to drink. I'll definitely go back.

Cozy little restaurant in the country. Lots of rotating specials (be sure to pay attention!). The steak I had was outstanding, but I’d recommend getting any “sauce” on the side. Save room for dessert!
