I recently visited Dragon China Buffet in Big Spring, Texas, a place that holds many fond childhood memories for me. Back in the early 2000s, this restaurant was always bustling, with hardly any parking available. It was a go-to spot for family dinners and special occasions.Fast forward to today, and things have definitely changed. The ambience inside is quite bland and subdued, and it's surprisingly quiet compared to the lively atmosphere I remember. The same soundtrack from 15 years ago still plays, adding a touch of nostalgia to the experience. At around $20 for two people, the buffet offers good value for the variety of food available. While the quality of the food isn't exceptional, it's decent. The orange chicken and the sweet bread with sugar on top are my personal favorites and worth trying if you visit. One of the highlights of my visit was the sense of stepping back in time. The decor and even the coin slot machine in the back haven't changed, making it feel like the place has been frozen in time. It was a delightful trip down memory lane, reminding me of simpler times.Overall, while Dragon China Buffet may not be as vibrant as it once was, it still holds a special place in my heart. If you're looking for a reasonably priced meal and a dose of nostalgia, it's worth a visit.Parking: This place hardly get any more traffic so there’s plenty of parking.

Love the variety of food and the option of the Mongolian grill. Would love to be greeted with a smile instead of a frown. The wait staff could also be friendlier.

I love this place, The food to me tastes amazing and the noodles with the fried rice is delicious. The service is great the people are nice, and the atmosphere is alright it is very quiet even though there would be a good amount of people.

I got an egg roll, sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken, rice and noodles. I took one but of each item and got up and walked out. That food is garbage. One of the worst Chinese buffets I've ever tried!I just started going to Big Spring for doctor appointments and I was looking for some good food... This ain't it. I'm really disappointed because the staff that I interacted with were very nice. I had very limited interaction with them but they were kind and helpful. The restaurant appeared to be clean so if you like the food, that's great! I just thought it was so bad that I was willing to get up and walk out after paying for a meal and taking only 3 bites of food! I couldn't stomach any more of it.

If you like eating here you must have very low expectations. Building is very run down and stinks. They charge you as soon as you enter. Food is edible but it’s certainly not close to being good. They don’t have soft drinks from a machine so they give you individual bottles with a limit of 1. Sushi is the size of a dime if not smaller. And there was blood on the wall. Bffr

I would only avoid adding so much bay leaf and Italian spices to the vegetables.

I really don't understand the negative reviews. I eat here weekly, often more than once per week and at varying hours, and not once in 2.5 years have I ever eaten cold food that was supposed to be hot or food that wasn't fresh. There is a large variety of Asian foods to choose from, so I don't understand those who say there is no variety because there most certainly is. No one has ever been rude to me or those in my party, there is always plenty of seating, and the price is great! The ONLY thing that keeps this from being perfect is they don't serve margaritas! LOL!

The restuarant could for sure use some updating. We nearly walked out after seeing the front entrance. It's just not a look u want to give ur customers walking in the door. It worries me a out health codes in the kitchen. We went ahead and ate but won't be back.

Food was an Awful let down. Nothing was good. Took a bite into an eggroll, and it was cold inside. No variety to choose from. It was all the same. Beef was cut into chunks instead of thin slices. Tea was overly sweetened. I tried a the grill side. Selected a few items to see if food could be better. The cook grabbed his tip jar while talking on the phone as to say "tip first," I was done. No way, will I ever go there again.
