We baked a turkey and ordered Old 300 BBQ potato salad, creamed corn and green bean sides for New Year’s Eve 2025 lunch. So glad we found this delicious food on Gold Belly website. We live in Ohio and love tasting wonderful food from Texas!

Thanks to Shelly, not only was the food great, so was her presence at our table!

Everyone inside was incredibly friendly and helpful. I got the wagyu brisket and jalapeño sausage and both were really good. The flavor was really good but could have been a little bit more. Definitely worth stopping by if you're anywhere nearby.

Coordinating for a group of 30 guys monthly I have regularly chosen Old 300 BBQ as one of our favs. Manager Shelley offers us a mini buffet of 3 meats, 2 sides for ~$30pp. That price point is pushing toward the limit of what we’re willing to pay for a lunch. BBQ prices in general seem to outpace some other entrees. As long as we can negotiate in the $2x price range, we’ll seriously consider returning. Thanks Shelley!

We love to come here! The El Jefe is delicious. The Last time we visited we had been craving it, but it just wasn't as good as it normally is. We opted for mixed plate and sides. The beans were undercooked; the brisket was on the dry side

This is what a Texas BBQ place is like. Wagyu or Angus briskit options. Jalapeño sausage was great. Deviled eggs are good. Great BBQ style restaurant atmosphere. Hard to beat this place for best BBQ spot in Texas.

We used to live in Blanco and had to return to the area because of a storage unit we still have there. We decided to stop by Old 300 because we always had good experiences in the past. We were both equally disappointed, first off the prices are ridiculous now. We got two “sandwiches”, one bag of small chops and two drinks for 40 bucks. We sat down and they bring us what looks like two hoagies. We were expecting regular buns and not hoagie buns. The brisket was okay, wouldn’t say good or close to good. Their brisket used to be very good. We both took a couple of bites and wrapped them back up and left. I debated on doing a review but this place is going off its old reputation and not what they are serving now.

Upon entering the establishment, we were told we could order pulled pork sandwiches.
Per the counter staff, that was our sole choice.
We decided to go to the Agave mexican restaurant.

My first time here and I’m not even sure what my excuse for not visiting was. This place is so great!! Everyone that works here seems friendly. The beef was not overly salty nor overly smoky. It reminds me of old fashioned Texas bbq, from south Texas where I grew up. The service was a little slow but it seems they cut the meats to perfection, for each slice. I had no idea id be waiting 20 minutes for my food but it was totally worth it.

I sample the wagyu and angus briskets. The wagyu as I understand it is only available on Sundays and they close at 3 pm on Sunday. I might be wrong but I made sure to go on a Sunday to get the Wagyu for comparison.

Both were excellent. I did like the Wagyu better but not by much. The sauces really complimented the meat here, and I’m impressed with the sauce selection. I make my own sauce too at home, and one of these sauces were just like mine, exactly how I like it (the tomato-y sauce). I could drink that stuff if it was warmed up. Again, reminds me of my family’s bbq from years ago.

The sausage was a masterpiece. Very well done and somewhat lean and meaty. I had jalapeño sausage but couldn’t really tell it was jalapeño. But it was very good! Especially with the pickled onions and pickles.

I saw those mega beef ribs everyone was ordering and I must say those were bigger than my head. If you like beef ribs this is the place for you. They also had a lager beer they brewed in collaboration with Real Ale, and since I was headed there, I tried it and it was awesome. I love local stuff like that!

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch here in Blanco, just stopping by town. I’d definitely recommend this place to family (I already have), and I’d recommend to friends so they don’t miss out either!

Thanks y’all, and keep up the great work.

We went today with a group. This was our first time there. I ordered the pork loin sandwich. Love it! My hubby loved the half chicken so much that he ordered another half chicken to go for dinner later. Loved the potato salad and the beans. I would love to come back again soon.

Parking: Today, our group reserved the garage room. We did not know that on this day was Market Day and Car Show. Lots of cars everywhere. Luckily, we all found parking on the street as advertised "free street parking".
