I loved this restaurant!! My first time to come & the food was excellent. Try the truffle fries! They were delicious! Most everything was fantastic! The ribeye, pork chop, & fish, excellent choices!
(the lemon caper pasta is nothing special. Very plain very buttery)

My husband and I just had an absolutely lovely evening at Uptown. The food was just awesome, the service as always was steller. Shout out to Chef Mike who graciously took time out to speak with us, and our delightful waitress Megan. Everyone was welcoming and the whole evening was just wonderful...have been there a few times and it just gets better and better! Highly recommend!!!

I’m in the middle of my meal and had to stop to thank this resteraunt for the best polenta I have ever tasted in my life. An absurd gem in blanco that is still delivering amazing food to this day.

This was our first time there and the food was excellent and service on par with better restaurants in the area. Prices are a little bit on the high side but the food is good. Very cool interior decor and the story about the restaurant is equally cool. We will definitely return and try some of the other dishes

About as nice and upscale as one should expect in a town of Blanco's size. Love the Architecture of the old building. Nice restoration.

Really great venue and wait staff. Really horrible shrimp and grits. Over cooked shrimp, butterflied, but with the shell on? On top of polenta? Not grits. Very messy to peel the shrimp whilst covered in polenta. Frozen and reheated in a microwave. Lots of money for subpar food.

We stopped for lunch on a rainy summer day. This place is a hidden gem. Prime rib was EXCELLENT. Great vibe, great service and really beautiful setting.

The atmosphere should have 10 stars. On our date night, we chose to drive here rather than Austin because of the beautiful history of this building. I WISH someone would pour money into this with a labor of love because the POTENTIAL is incredible. A ballroom. A theater. Building from the 1800s. Original jail cell outside. Old hotel pool. It could be such a gem, but anyway, it's still a beautiful place for dining!
The food was good! The desserts are all from scratch (the creme brûlée, yumm) and the portions were fantastic. The staff was very kind and helpful with the menu, food came out very quick and we were very happy. Ask for a tour!
I hope someone writes an article on this place and I hope they do events like a painting night, or a poker night or something!? There's so much potential, it's incredible.

This restaurant is the standard that other restaurants should strive for. Real cloth tablecloths and napkins. Staff continously pouring iced tea and water, so you don't have to hunt down your server to ask.
On Saturday, the Lavender Festival was in full swing, so the restaurant had a simplified menu. 2 of us had the Smash Burger hamburger and fries; our friend had the BLT. There were no problems asking to have certain ingredients omitted from the sandwiches and the food was served quickly, and hot. Two of us had the get to-go boxes due to the generous size of the sandwiches.
As an added bonus, if you like to sew or quilt, the restaurant is conveniently adjacent to the Blanco Textile Shop.
We will definitely be back.
I was in town for the Lavender Festival and decided to try Uptown Blanco Cafe. I ordered my meal to-go since I was staying at Hotel Henry and wanted to enjoy some live music while I ate.
The salmon was absolutely delicious—even after a heavy lunch, I couldn’t help but finish every bite. I’m already looking forward to my next visit, just so I can dine at this charming restaurant again!

Everything was ordered was amazing! The Brussels sprouts, lamb chops, wedge salad, salmon, creme broken, and chocolate cake. They did not disappoint!
