We chose this restaurant for our 40th anniversary dinner When I made the reservation I let them know that it was our anniversary and that we had chosen them for our celebration. No mention was made of that when we arrived nor during our meal.
It is a beautiful restaurant but the ambiance is ruined by the many bright lights almost like a high school gymnasium. Heavy duty dimming and a candle on each table would do the job.
Frankly it looked like a cafeteria.
The food was outstanding. The polenta was the best I ever had. The service was outstanding as well. A few simple adjustments would make a huge difference.

The atmosphere at this place was relaxing and inviting, very clean. The staff were very friendly and polite and professional. We went here for my birthday (they give free dessert on birthdays). We ordered fried catfish(yum, nice crispy and juicy), chicken fried chicken(tasty), kids chicken strips(with where so delicious, they were better than the chicken fried chicken), brussels sprats(tasty)and stripping, grits. They serve big portions. We will be back.

The BEST Chicken Fried Steak ( regular, not the upgrade choice) I’ve ever eaten…perfectly seasoned and crispy, along with the Mashed Potatoes and Sautéed Mushrooms. Others at our table of 3 had Baked Rigatoni alla Vodka, Shrimp and Grits….ALL good. The warm bread and butter on arrival was a treat, along with my glass of Saint Tryphon Albariño wine. The 3 of us split a very generous serving of a delicious Pumpkin Bread Pudding, perfect for Fall and not over whelming with pumpkin, just perfect! A beautiful restaurant and one of the nicest dining experience you can have…..because we could all talk and hear each other, unlike many places where the music makes it impossible to visit. Aysa, our server, was delightful and we highly recommend Uptown Blanco for a pleasurable evening with great food, service and ambiance. We will be back! And OH! I forgot to mention their Tartar Sauce is addicting…..I took an appetizer of Fried Oysters home to a family member, and I would buy the Tartar Sauce in a container if they sold it that way, had quite a “ zing” to it, not hot pepper, just VERY tasty. This chef really knows how to season !

Stopped in for their Sip & Stroll & Halloween menu - such a treat! I had the risotto with chicken, butternut squash, and pumpkin...so good and full of cozy fall flavors. I'm a total sucker for anything pumpkin. Someone else at the table had the salmon and it was also perfectly cooked and fabulous presentation of the entrees.
Aysa served our table and was absolutely amazing, and Rachel the manager, was such a sweetheart. The whole team was wonderful, and the chef even stopped by our table to say hello — such a thoughtful touch (I loved that)! And the live music a lovely addition! Good food, good wine, and that small-town charm that makes this place so special. Can’t wait to come back!

I loved this restaurant!! My first time to come & the food was excellent. Try the truffle fries! They were delicious! Most everything was fantastic! The ribeye, pork chop, & fish, excellent choices! (the lemon caper pasta is nothing special. Very plain very buttery)

My husband and I just had an absolutely lovely evening at Uptown. The food was just awesome, the service as always was steller. Shout out to Chef Mike who graciously took time out to speak with us, and our delightful waitress Megan. Everyone was welcoming and the whole evening was just wonderful...have been there a few times and it just gets better and better! Highly recommend!!!
I’m in the middle of my meal and had to stop to thank this resteraunt for the best polenta I have ever tasted in my life. An absurd gem in blanco that is still delivering amazing food to this day.

This was our first time there and the food was excellent and service on par with better restaurants in the area. Prices are a little bit on the high side but the food is good. Very cool interior decor and the story about the restaurant is equally cool. We will definitely return and try some of the other dishes

Really great venue and wait staff. Really horrible shrimp and grits. Over cooked shrimp, butterflied, but with the shell on? On top of polenta? Not grits. Very messy to peel the shrimp whilst covered in polenta. Frozen and reheated in a microwave. Lots of money for subpar food.
