What a beautiful dinner! We were traveling from Rockport to Dallas last night and just Googled the nearest open restaurant. Such a wonderful, pleasant surprise! I was a bit worried when we walked in and I saw the table settings and the beautiful historical building because we were under dressed and a bit scrappy looking. But we were made to feel so welcome. We ordered the Chicken Fried Steak that was served with Mashed Potatoes and the best Glazed Carrots. And an off menu special Cottage Pie (fancy Shepherds Pie). When I say this was fantastic it’s because I can’t think of a word to adequately describe just how divine it smelled and tasted. Because our sweet server recommended the Cottage Pie, we went with her recommendation for dessert as well, Bread Pudding. Oh my! Absolutely delicious! The perfect ending to share after a fabulous dinner of very generous portions. We’re most definitely looking forward to a return visit and enjoying another delicious and beautiful meal at Uptown Blanco! Appreciate the hospitality!

Parking: We parked at the corner in marked parking spots that were easily accessible and handicapped spaces were available. Very easy to navigate and a really short walk into the restaurant.

Birthday celebration for our 2 adult children along with family. Absolute beautiful atmosphere, amazing and friendly staff. Service was outstanding and excellent. Our food was scrumptious and delicious. I should have taken pictures of our amazing food. The appetizers, entrees Ana down to the crème brûlée and cheesecake were amazing. Vivian was our waitress and she was absolutely amazing and “spot on” with everything. She was the absolute best. We will definitely return. Beautiful place.

We recently visited Uptown Blanco while staying in Blanco, Texas, and I was really excited to try it based on the positive reviews. Although I knew it was going to be a bit pricey, with our meal totaling $140 for three plates, I was still hopeful for a great dining experience. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to expectations. My 16-ounce ribeye was mostly fat and swimming in a pool of blood and juices—barely edible after just a few bites. On the plus side, the service was excellent, and I really appreciated the charming decor and atmosphere. After a great day at a winery in Fredericksburg, I was hoping for a standout steak, but sadly, this meal fell short.

This is my new favorite restaurant!.

It literally has everything you could want. The ambience is absolutely breathtaking. Even when you pull up to the Old Town square with the courthouse in the background you can see into the building through the glass that someone has put a lot of time and energy into preserving this old timey feel that you just can't get anywhere else.

The tables are super cute and analogic to fit the architecture and the rest of the interior design. The staff is friendly and helpful. The menu is off charts. It has this American feel but then it just has a special culinary flavor that is unique and special to Central Texas.

Sometimes we stopped in here for breakfast because I would say it's the best breakfast around with the crepes, oatmeal, pancakes, and my favorite sausage and gravy.

The dinner menu is also amazing with my favorite being the classic chicken fried steak smothered pork chop.

You definitely need to make a special trip because this place is worth it!

Nice restaurant in terms of atmosphere, ambiance, and decor. Service was slow and ho-hum and the food was terribly dry. Prime rib was boiled and dried out. Chicken piccata was plain, dry, and flavorless.
