I’ve been going to Mel’s for about three weeks and the food is delicious, hot, and really more than I can eat. Their fish dinners or chicken fried steaks are mouthwatering. The homemade pies are great too. Very friendly people that seem to really like their job. If you don’t try them out, you’re missing out…….big time.
I was so hungry that I forgot to take a pic of my food, but it was delicious. I found this place with a google search and stopped here based on the reviews, so I wanted to be sure to come back and leave my own. The staff was very friendly, the daily special (chicken fried steak) was delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect for a “home cooking” restaurant in a small town. We would definitely stop again if we are ever back this way.
Great lunch specials, friendly wait staff, local eating establishment, worth stopping by when in the area. Grounded right at noontime recommend being early or late or you may have to wait for a table but it will be worth your time.
