Shumardii's Family Restaurant

Very nice quiet restaurant on the edge of a grove of Shumardi oak trees! I just wish they would put onion rings back on the menu, they were fantastic

What a great surprise of a gem. Stayed in the area for a wedding and found this place on our way home at the end of a four day visit. Great food, very friendly staff and very good service.

Dry nice and quiet. Food tasted great. People were very nice and attentive.

Wings and fried mushrooms were phenomenal. My entire group lived their food. The service is friendly.

They made us, a group of 15 folks, wait for 20min and let groups who came after us dine before us. Terrible experience

My wife and I came in tonight for a hopeful special evening dinner. I ordered the fried shrimp and she had the fried catfish. Not as good as it should've been due to the fact the oil has not been changed out regularly as it should. (And yes we KNOW. We're food/product/customer service critics with over 10,000 followers-this is what we do) My wife had informed me that this restaurant was under new management. My advice, "change the oil in your fryer regularly and let's go from there." My wife and I were very nauseous ? after eating here tonight. Definitely a concern for the Dept. Of Health! Do better!

Me and 7other people arrived at 1pm today Oct 26, 2024. As the sign showed please wait to be seated so we waited. We rang the bell that was on the hostess stand after having already waited a few minutes. Ten minutes later we exited the establishment having not once seem an employee.

So instead of spending our money at Shumardii's we went down the road and gave it to The Rockyard who greeted is almost instantly upon entering.

Do better Shumardii's staff. Do better.

Changed names with smaller menu. Mac and cheese was really bad. Very disappointing.

Been here a couple of times. Real good food.

It was quiet for the time we were there. Food was amazing and large portions. The food to cost ratio was even. Our service was excellent. Drinks were delicious, as was the food. The staff seemed very laid back and conversational. I was hesitant, but everything exceeded my expectations. Well done!

Parking: We were able to park an F 250 with a boat in the parking lot without any issues! Super grateful!
