Went and gave order asked to pull forward and wait. Not a problem we did. Then they bring the food and we look to ensure it’s all there. Realize they completely screwed up the order. Doubled one item and completely left off the rest of the order which was 2 chicken strip baskets. Pulled around said they forgot our baskets. Said she didn’t hear that then didn’t offer to refund the extra item we didn’t order. Then the manager tells me,”Well it will be another 8 minutes for that,” like I am going to leave with only half the food for the household. Seriously. When I asked about the refund they said, “but you did get it” and I replied but I didn’t order it the. Only refunded the amount for the item not the tax for the item and had me hand it back through the window, which is a health code violation. I quit coming here due to issues such as poor service previously, thought I would give it another try. But I can see it is the same kind of incompetence which made me quit coming previously. Poor leadership and management is the reason for these mistakes.

Driving home from Colorado we stop at almost every DQ on the way home and I have to say the DQ in Bowie was by far the best stop! The food was great but the personal service was amazing!
There was a smile from the time we opened the door and walked in and we received our food.
The manager/ owner took time to talk to us and welcome us to Bowie and my wife was admiring some gnomes dolls they had on the counter she stop us at the door as we were leaving and gifted one of the gnome dolls !!
My wife was so happy!!
It was the talk of our trip all the way home to Richmond Texas , thank you so much!

Excellent food!!
This Dairy Queen is straight-up retro—like stepping into the ’80s. Think Stranger Things. The booths, the vibe, the people—it’s all small-town classic. Everyone’s friendly, the food’s good, and it feels like time just slows down here (in the best way). If you want that nostalgic, throwback Dairy Queen experience, this is the spot.

The only thing I didn't like was the price, the food was great. I know that the economy is not their fault. Pricing for me is just like being in a normal restaurant.

This is a small town with little options and the quality and customer service here keeps the bar low to be expected. Called ahead and still had to wait for pick up. Food was cold and a mess in the bag, other items that were payed for were not in the bag. The heavy set 30 yr old fast food worker confidently yelled at me that “it’s your fault for not checking your bag or testing the food before you left” and proceeded to laugh. I’d rather drive an hour away than eat at this unsanitary and unprofessional place filled with old failures.
Store was nasty, It had a bad smell when I walked in, very busy, took awhile to get my order. I almost walked out, staff was very preoccupied with regular customers. It seemed like this was the town hangout, which is great, but store needed a thorough cleaning. Rest room was also nasty! I stopped in on a Sunday!
Absolutely the best Dairy Queen in the country. Been in business since 1965 and has historical memorabilia all over supporting our troops. The staff takes your order on pen and paper. I was surprised they take debit cards! A hidden national treasure
