After a missed exit on our road trip, it was way worth the extra 25 miles to find this gem of a restaurant in Brady, Tx with a Cajun country vibe and amazing catfish. It was a hard food choice because the menu had so many things I wanted to try. Loved the starter crock of complimentary pinto beans while you wait—delicious!!! The catfish was fantastic and homemade coleslaw so great. Even at 2:30, the restaurant was full. We will be back!! Serendipity!!

My husband and I ordered the grilled shrimp dinner and the 14 oz ribeye.... Y'all, it's not very often you can get a 1-1/2 thick steak and actually cut it with a butter knife!!!! Perfectly cooked and seasoned. The grilled shrimp and fixings were also primo. Kudos to the chef!!!! Everyone was friendly and we had great service. Keep up the good work. We will definitely come back on our travels through Brady.

Atmosphere was great and staff was friendly and helpful. Had a burger and fries... Very good portion sizes. Made it a family outing and we will be back again.
Updated 10/8/2024 We went for a family member's birthday. We had called ahead around 1pm to reserve a table; when arriving at 6 pm, there was no table put together for us. We put some tables and chairs together to make it work. As we were eating in the room, staff forgot to turn on the light, so it got darker and darker while eating. It was turned on 15 minutes before we left. An overall good atmosphere and local favorite but when there's a big party, it doesn't seem like we're attended too well.

Visiting Brady for work. I always look at reviews before i go somewhere. This seemed to have to best reviews. 5 stars is kind of doing this place a disservice. 10 out of 10. Wow. NY strip. Never had a better steak.

Visiting family and eating out is a tradition we have when in town. Boondocks restaurant serves good food and is a clean place to eat.
One of if not the best steaks I've eaten . Very friendly staff . Great place
Parking: 25 t0 30 + wide parking on side of highway for trailers and 2 to 4 semis
Wheelchair accessibility: I'm in a wheelchair . They don't have designated handicapped parking but you can get a wheelchair through the doors and easily over thresholds .
I’ve been eating here since I was 4 and still love it! The people are very kind and are very down to earth. Their food is always great! Never had a dish I didn’t enjoy!
This was a great place to stop for dinner. Diner type atmosphere. We got a ribeye, a bacon cheeseburger, and fried shrimp. I couldn’t believe the size of the ribeye for the price (would easily be double in Ft Worth). The bacon cheeseburger was juicy and flavorful. Loved the sourdough bun. The fried shrimp was yummy too. Coleslaw was really good but that tartar sauce is the second best I’ve ever had (next to my own. Haha). Even the Dr Pepper syrup to CO2 ratio tasted great!
We liked it so much we plan to stop back by there for lunch on our way home.

Oh my gosh!!! This food is so good. I had the chicken fried steak, and my fiance had the shrimp and snow crab boil, and they didn't lack flavor at all. We were very pleased with the food and the friendly service from the staff. I will definitely stop by again when I am in that area for work again.
