We ended up here when Dovinos wouldn't allow our well-behaved, well-groomed, canine companion to dine with us. In fact, we were asked to leave. Five Boys was a hit! Nice patio with a menu that has something for everyone. They serve breakfast all day and primarily serve comfort food, burgers, sandwiches, and a wide variety of appetizers. Server was very nice, and speed of service was okay. We waited a little longer than expected being they weren't very busy. I imagine during busier times, service may be a little slower. The food is definitely worth the wait. We had the chicken fried steak, steak fingers, mashed.potatoes, fried okra, and macaroni and vheese
cheese. Everything is homemade and tasted amazing. They are pet friendly, so we will definitely be back!

When the new owners took over several years ago, the food quality definitely dipped from what it used to be. We honestly had written this place off for a while. HOWEVER — we recently decided to give it another try, and now we can’t stop going back.

The inside dining area is small and limited, which can make it tough during peak hours. But I’ll say this — the wait is completely worth it.

One Sunday we visited during the after-church rush, and it was busy busy. We couldn’t find a place to sit and it was a little cold outside, so we opted for to-go. (It might be worth considering some windproof drop-down sides and outdoor heaters to help accommodate during those peak times.) I asked them to call me when the order was ready, and they had our food out to us in about 10 minutes — which honestly surprised me given how packed they were.

Must-tries from what we’ve ordered:

• Fish tacos
• Avocado bacon burger
• Chicken fried steak

All of those have been consistently delicious. The only food downside for us has been the chicken tenders — they taste a bit like the premade, freezer-to-fryer type. Also, on occasion, the waitstaff can get a little caught up in their own conversations instead of fully focusing on customers.

That said, I’m still giving 4 stars because right now it’s easily one of the best places to eat in Bridgeport. If you find yourself in Bridgeport, swing by and try it for yourself — and bonus points for serving breakfast all day!

I called, today, on a Sunday to see if they were open because I saw people sitting outside. When I called she answered the phone and said hey we're closed and hung up. That was rude. If that's how you are on the phone, makes me wonder about the service.

I was so happy they serve breakfast all day! Portions were huge & prices were affordable! I really enjoyed the hash browns & pancakes with my meal. My partner ordered a fried chicken sandwich that thing was huge and very delicious! We got fried pickles as an appetizer & they were so crispy and yummy:) Our server was very sweet and attentive! Definitely coming back again sometime! Thank you!

Love this place. I really like the breakfast and the pancakes but I had a really tasty country fried porkchop sandwich I would highly recommend. The fries are very fresh and tasty and the staff are all really nice.

Very small inside eating area. Very noisy because of this. We got hamburgers that were very much overdone and very dry. Fries was our side and they were good

Took a motorcycle ride out from Fort Worth. Honestly, our first plan was a different place but it was closed permanently. Glad we chose plan B.

It was a rare beautiful day in December and chose to sit on the nice porch. The server was right there and grabbed our drink orders first. She recommended the fried pickles so we got those to start.

Loved the fried pickles. Plenty of them and great crispy texture, Along with just tasted good.

I chose the mushroom onion burger and substituted onion rings. Only a $1.99 upcharge. I was hoping it would taste as good as it looked when she brought it out. It did! Those onion rings were huge Abe cooked perfectly! The burger was cooked well and tasted good. My only minor complaint is I hate it when a bun overshadows the burger patty. Make the patty slightly bigger. But it tasted really good!

I’ll come back here again!

I would give zero stars if I could. Ordered door dash and they forgot my salad that was to come with my meal. Maybe do a better job of putting to go meals together.
