Nice location, cabins not all that great but,get the job done for a weekend. Boat ramp and store near by ,laundry machines available. Overall great place to spend a weekend.

I currently work at powell Park as the night cook.

Rooms: There are cabins and rv spots. Or if you a tent kind of person we have an area for that too. There is a jumping pad that is unbelievable. There is a swimming area on the beach. And areas you can fish. The is a store and a great Café.

Cabin 21 sleeps 6, full size bed full size futon and loft with 2 twin mattresses. Round table 4 chairs efficiency kitchen (no oven) tub shower combo in bathroom, screened in porch. The paneling needs to be updated, bathroom sink had curling iron or something that melted into it so there is a whole where it was melted. The shower pulls from the wall and doesn’t go all the way to the ceiling so you can see the dry wall and there is a 2 inch wood piece going around the top of shower (not sure it’s moisture proof). It was clean and no bugs. Bring your own towels and things for the bathroom and dish soap cooking and serving utensils. Beds do have sheets and blanket but not for the futon.

Rooms: Again the rooms were clean and bug free but really really really need to be remodeled/updated with fresh wall paneling, better AC units, bathroom needs to be gutted and redone.

Nearby activities: There is the boat marina, playground area, store and restaurant, and a beach area for swimming all within walking distance. There may have been hiking trails but I don’t hike so I didn’t look.

Safety: I never felt scared to walk around at night and there were no safety issues with the cabin. Just aesthetics.

Walkability: Store, restaurant, marina, kids park were all walkable from the cabins. We had friends staying in their RV and we would walk from our cabin to their RV spot and to the store and marina.

Food and drinks: Great restaurant attached to the store. The food was outstanding and great value. Big portions.

They have the best bacon cheeseburger! They are always so welcoming and friendly to us and our dog.

Stayed in cabin 3. Clean and well appointed .
The Cafe has excellent food,and the camp store has everything one needs.

Great Fun!

Had a really good time. Cafe was good. Store had plenty of things. Our little cabin could have used a good cleaning inside and outside. Beds are hard and carpet is dirty. But will definitely go back. Enjoyed the peace and quiet and clean park

Our boat rental was offlle. The throttle wouldn’t work unless it jerked forward. The live well didn’t work. Radio don’t work, the ladder was broke and we had multiple people get hurt trying to climb in. Depth finder didn’t work. And the lady in charge still made us pay for 21.00 for the bit of gas we used. She also said she doesn’t care what kind of reviews she gets because people will still pay. She may have someone die on her watch. Good luck. What happened to human kindness and grace. Want ever recommend them ever!

Love this park. It's always so clean! One of our favorite places in the summer ☀️

Always go there on memorial day ..it's always friendly ..they do their best to keep it clean and lots of activities for kids

Love the beach areas! Busy on a holiday weekend but not too bad. Beautiful weather! 5/24/24 water up 5+ feet, not much beach. Water temperature 80°.
