The gumbo didn't really taste like gumbo. The celery was hard, so I kept spitting out celery every other bite. The cracklings were pretty good, and the service was great. I didn't really like the shrimp,i felt like it could have been cooked just a little more.
If you're driving through this area, it's a must stop. The food is absolutely amazing. The ladies working here are sweethearts. The prices are good. There is nothing bad on their menu. 10
My peeps come for the crawfish (when in season) and they say it's great. I come for the fried catfish, boudin balls, stuffed crab, old-fashion burger or chicken fried chicken and it's all good.
