My parents love their food, but I think it's mediocre. I prefer Dominos or Pizza Hut. But to each their own. It's a nice place; quaint, homey. If you've never been there you should try it; you might love it!

All I can say! It is hands down the best home cooking anywhere!😋and the price will blow your ever loving socks off! At least half compared to the big city diners, and the most special thing, is the people, genuinely true country folk!

I hate to put this but the food was not the same as last time we visited. I don't want to be rude, I believe in supporting small town businesses...the food was terrible. The chicken wings were bloody, the salad bar was pretty much empty and the pizza was half cooked. Unfortunate experience.

This place had amazing food when Dot ran it. Now the food so salty you can’t even eat it and the spaghetti has a cup of sugar in every serving. Don’t waste your time.

Pizza tasted ok but the crust was overly soft. Akin to homemade pizza. Wings seem baked not fried but battered so are they using frozen precooked wings? Wing sauce was applied using an eye dropper I believe. Sad. I wish it was better.

Been eating here for years. Every Thursday! This last 2 visits were so very disappointing. I have to assume new ownership. All waitresses gone, just one new Girl that was working hard to keep up. Wife ordered the famous burger, I ordered the chicken strip basket. Both HUGE disappointments. Burger was a frozen patty, not the big piece of fresh meat they’ve always used. Chicken strips were tiny, overcooked, and appeared to be frozen strips heated up. Again, appeared to be. And both tasted as such. The young Black Lady that’s cooked for years was not in the kitchen, and wait time for order was 3 times the usual. Only5 customers were in the business. So very disappointing.

We eat there every Tuesday. The staff is very attentive, and makes us feel really welcome!. The food is darned tasty too! I highly recommend the steak finger basket, the pizza, the coffee... Shoot, everything on the menu is great! We're getting a new group of musicians together to provide music on Tuesday's 6PM to 8PM. Come support this wonderful local restaurant!
Just ate at Dots Place in Brownsboro. Ordered my usual… fresh chicken fried chicken sandwich. Usually out of this world delicious…but no longer. The new owner, replaced it with a frozen patty that had the taste and consistency of cardboard! We questioned the waitress who brought the cook out to learn that the owner had replaced the fresh chicken breast with less than mediocre frozen chicken patties. Not sure what the owner is thinking , but I’m sure he thinks he will save money. I wonder what he will be thinking when people stop eating there?
For those who also loved the fresh chicken fried chicken sandwiches, drive a few miles further to Moore’s Store in Ben Wheeler or the Cotton Patch in Athens. Both still serve the fresh chicken.
We went in at 6:30 pm on a Monday night. The place was not busy only 1 other table occupied, but 3 dirty tables. A lady asked for our drink order and brought 2 teas and asked for our order immediately, we had not had time to look at the menu. My husband ordered a hamburger and fries, I ordered the club sandwich with baked squash. At 7:12 we received our food. The hamburger patty was a Sam's club frozen patty on a greasy bun, the tomatoes were mush. My club sandwich was dripping with either grease or butter from a failed grill try at toasting. The baked squash was swimming in a grease filled Styrofoam cup. No one came back to refill our teas. For $27.36 we could have had a decent meal at most any other fast food joint. The food we had was absolutely horrible. I would keep driving into Chandler or the opposite direction to Athens and get good food. Never again here for us.
