I was really disappointed. I’ve been following them online for about a year now and trust me, it looks much bigger in their posts than in person. This is a very small shop that has a few pastries, old fashioned candy, and some coffee. You can find a bigger old fashioned candy selection at your local cracker Barrell. I mainly drive the hour drive to check them out for an old fashioned soda from their soda jerk….they don’t use a soda jerk. They literally use syrup from a pump like a snow cone and add soda water from a bottle and stir it by hand. I wanted an old fashioned real soda. Not snow cone fruit flavors. Talk about disappointed! Then I got a root beer float. They grabbed a warm can of A&W and poured it on blue bell ice cream…who uses warm soda in a float?! Absolute waste of a trip. Unfollowing and won’t be back
I dare you to find sweeter people than those at the soda fountain! Ms Sandy and Ms Laura are two of the sweetest souls to my kiddo and are just pure joy! The food and drinks are tasty and you couldn’t ask for a better local spot to support :)

It was a little busy and there was only one employee but she was working very fast and had no problem remembering orders from multiple people. Food and drinks were good, we will be back :)

The Buda Soda Fountain is an EXPERIENCE! I took six of my kids there and my nephew. We were in town for a wedding. One of my kids has Celiac’s Disease, and it was so refreshing to be able to relax and know that he’ll be able to enjoy a gluten-free lunch without worrying about cross-contamination! There are lots of GF options for lunch AND dessert! The food was outstanding, and everyone finished off with a root beer float. There is also a great selection of candy. If you visit Buda, you MUST stop in to eat here. Also there’s a great little pharmacy next door that has things that most pharmacies don’t - essential oils, good quality supplements, and natural health type things.

LOCAL LOVE:One of my favorite places for a quick but homemade lunch is @budasodafountain which is conveniently located right by our Buda Office and right off Main St.With a menu of a variety of homemade sandwiches, quiche, soup and coffees, it’s a quaint old fashioned soda shop featuring old fashioned candy, gluten free treats and ice cream and floats. It’s also next door to my kids doctor and an ice cream bribe has been working for 19 years with them!My favorite is their cup of soup and half a sandwich combo or their quiche. The staff is so friendly and the service is amazing!! Stop by and say hi!! #supportlocal #locallove #shopmall #shoplocal
