Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Oh cracker barrel, where did you lose your way? Was it when you backed down from that clean refresh of the logo and stores cause people who never eat there got all in their feelings about it? The maze of the store attached to the restaurant before you even get seated has become an unbearable travesty of overpriced junk no one really wants. But then I discovered that fraggle hole in the corner and when I peeked into it I saw the unhappy world beyond where the stock gnomes sleep during the day and stock the store at night. I'm sore of they were given better items to stock they would be a lot happier. And then when you finally get to sit and eat, well, the food has gone downhill. In a trash bag. Full of gravy. Expired gravy. I don't know how to describe just how bad the food has gotten. I mean the service was worse. Oh well. So long!

Got on the wait list for 45 minutes and got seat 1hour and 20 minutes later but the foor was very good.

It was super crowded but I was seated right away and my server had a server in training so I was givin awesome service fee was hot and quick to be delivered.

Very crowded. Our waitress hardly visit maybe 3x . But to be fair she did have like 6 tables. Biscuits came out hard as in old. Eggs were cold as well. Wasn't finished with food ; didn't get asked ; plates were picked up . Guessing with the long wait lines, guess you're supposed to swallow food.

Wasn't going to post but since this showed up. The experience started poorly. Got there and put our name on the list and was told 40 minutes, possibly less. We got seated 1 hour 12 minutes later. The server was really good and attentive. He brought our biscuits and drinks promptly. The food however, took another hour to get to the table and we it got there it was missing ingredients. I got the egg and bacon and hash brown casserole, but the biscuit was missing. That dish got removed from the bill but after waiting that long to get there missing things is just ridiculous.

Ordered pancakes with pecans, they were spot on. This time I found out they can serve them with pecan flavored syrup which was delicious 😋

I stopped eating at Cracker Barrel because of their horrific track record with inclusion. For some odd reason I tried it again tonight and was rewarded with crap food. I tried the new herb roasted chicken with a salad and corn. Everything came out at once so the food slowly got cold while I ate my salad with its super thin blue cheese dressing. The chicken skin was good. Leg and thigh tender but the breast portion was dryer than a saltine cracker. Corn was straight from a can with no seasoning or anything-just like DelMonte in the microwave. I also hate how you have to go through the store and stand in line to pay. Of course, how else are families going to resist their kids screaming for all the stuff they want to buy? I’ll definitely not be back.

Do not get the bacon Mac & Cheese. Terrible, more like a bowl of mush. Broccoli chicken was good.
