I'm a regular. I live their home made chips and the salsa is very tasty. Best Chicken Tortilla soup for miles.

I ordered four tacos and it was $25. Two of them were just eggs. That's insane. This is Buda not rodeo drive. This is Mexican food not Texas Roadhouse. Not a little, Extremely overpriced!

I went once after the renovation - They have raised pricing so much we can no longer justify this as a monthly treat. The online ordering is also annoying - there is an online order fee, pickup fee, and then they want you to tip? LOL

Great atmosphere that matches the location. Service was fast and friendly they worked as a team to keep our table taken care of! The tortillas!!!!! Yum! I'd go back just for them. Parking was ok, I bet it can get busier at times though.

We just ate breakfast there (10-18-35), and it was delicious like always. The best Mexican breakfast around. I just posted 2 pictures on Facebook, to let all my friends know about your restaurant. 🙂

I ordered fajita nachos con pollo- $15.50, small guacamole - $6.25, small queso - $4.74, sweet tea - $3.75, everything plus tax was $32.21. That's for one person. Of course I tipped, which brought the total nearly to $40. For one person. Wow. Extremely small portions compared to cost. My nachos, which normally have a nice sprinkling of monterrey cheese, were extremely sparse. I am a Texan native, Garcia's used to have better portions, better quality food and at a reasonable cost. Food was mediocre at best, only thing really going for my dining experience, was the staff, who were very kind and attentive. This experience made me a tad sad, I miss old Garcia's, being back the old ways and I'll boost my score.

Freshly renovated, this small Mexican restaurant offers really great fares. On a recent Sunday morning, I enjoyed their menudos served on a super flavorful broth. Some of the best I've had in restaurants.

Today was my second time back to Garcia's since the renovation. The first time was great - the food, service, atmosphere.

But today was not good. I ordered and paid for to-go food. The staff was great....friendly, patient, and helpful. To-go food is ordered at the patio, not in the main part of the restaurant. After I placed my order, I sat at a two-top table.

About 10 minutes later, I was told to surrender the table for a dine-in customer. So I stood around waiting for my food. After standing for almost 20 minutes, I finally gave up and just left....frustrated, hungry, and very disappointed.

Why are to-go customers less important to the owner than dine-in customers? So in addition to waiting a long time for my to-go order (which I gave up waiting for), I felt I was not invited to sit comfortably while I waited for my food.

I strongly urge you to see how your competitors handle to-go customers. They treat them very well....can sit while waiting, are offered a drink while waiting, are kept informed about the status of their order.

Disclaimer: This review is not about the food — the food at Gracias is excellent both Breakfast, Dinner, and has the best menudo in town
The Food Menu is 5 star
The bar, however, was a disappointment on Sat Aug 17 and earns only 3 stars.
The bar menu advertises a top-shelf margarita for $14.95. Fair enough, i typically purchase three, But Saturday when I requested the margarita with Lalo tequila — which is unquestionably top shelf — the server Lupita had to check if it was even allowed. She returned saying yes, but the drink would be $24.95 because their so-called “top-shelf” margarita is made with Hornitos & they would charge extra for the Lalo. That “Top Shelf” on the bar menu is kinda misleading .
I settled for their frozen top-shelf margarita, and it was undrinkable because it had too much syrup in the mix. For a place with such excellent food, the bar program feels like an afterthought.
Bottom line: I will continue coming here for the food but I won’t be coming here for drinks. The silver lining is i saved roughly $60 on drinks i did not have.
