Brisket was extremely dry. Tortilla was okay. Queso and chips were good. Ribs seemed like they had be in a warmer too long. Dry. Disappointing to say the least.

Not to rain on anyone’s parade, but the brisket was average. Maybe ‘cause I asked for marbled brisket and just got butt ends. I like fat on my brisket. The potato salad wasn’t half bad. On to the banana pudding. I’ve never had runny banana pudding without real bananas. Not sure what it was. A little too sweet for my taste. Kinda reminds me of the first time I had a sweet tea from Chicken Express. Would you like a little more tea with your sugar? I guess everyone’s not going to agree with me on this. Not trying to put down Shugabees, just giving my take on what I ate. Partly. I’ll have try something different next time.

Great BBQ all around. Fresh homemade tortillas with tender moist Angus beef brisket, tender pork, outstanding chopped beef, an amazing smoked chicken salad. I have never been disappointed with anything on this menu. They have homemade sauces to put on the BBQ if you are a Sauce person.Any other negative reviews are incorrect, don't know real TX BBQ, or were born with silver spoons up their wazoo. Support the local homemade non chain BBQ that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.Owners are very nice people and take care of there customers. I'd pick these fellas over Cooper's, Franklin's, Mueller's, or Rudy's any day of the week. Head out to there place. Bring some beer and eat some BBQ.

We ordered Shugabee’s for a catered bbq picnic at Landa Park for our family reunion. The food was perfectly cooked, the brisket caused many an eye roll of delight and all the sides were amazing. Vick was the ultimate gentleman and had our food boxed up and ready for us. Thank you Vick for the meal that saved a very hot reunion!

Had lunch catered for a family gathering and it was delicious! I particularly enjoyed the brisket, bbq sauce, and the chicken salad. I’d definitely eat here again, and the owners are such good people.
We had Sugabeez today while visiting New Braunfels and it was delicious! The sauce was SUPA good and brisket was just perfect. The spicy potato salad was a great variation to a classic. Thanks for the great food and service!

I've been wanting to try this place for a while and I wasn't disappointed! The owner was really friendly. He gave me a sample of the smoked chicken salad. I really liked the smoked flavor, but I am not a fan of nuts in my chicken salad. Great option you don't see at BBQ joints though. We tried the chips and hatch green chili queso with brisket which was delicious! We also tried the brisket taco, which was HUGE! Really loved that he makes the tortillas fresh right then. I wanted mine plain (sauce and veggies on the side) so I could see how the brisket tasted solo and I am glad I did. The brisket was very tender with a nice bark. Definitely big enough to share, IMO.The only downside was that the BBQ sauce wasn't homemade. I understand the argument that great BBQ doesn't need sauce but store bought sauce can RUIN great BBQ! I am glad I didn't get sauce on my taco or I would have been disappointed. The store bought flavors would have canceled out the awesome flavor or the meat. So I hope the owner considers concocting a homemade BBQ sauce in the future. We will definitely be returning though!

My husband and I got their hatch green Chile queso with brisket. It was sooooo good. The brisket melted in my mouth. The guy working (assuming the owner) was so kind. We are definitely going back to try more! You should too.

I personally don't even know where to start, besides Shugabees is the best hands down! Not only did they come through with amazing CATERING for this last minute mama but they set everything up and made sure we had all we needed. My friends and family were raving about everything they brought! So thankful for Sarah and Vic and the whole Shugabees family! From the service to the food everything was such great quality
