We had an amazing brunch at the outside bar with the super friendly - Jacob the bartender. He was so helpful and created some beautiful mocktails for our group and he suggested the Lobster Benedict - awesome! Food was equally matched by the exceptional service. Chips and guac came out lighting fast. The salsa that came with the guac was delicious and had a good kick. Steaks cooked to perfection and delicious brussel sprouts. Just a great overall experience.

We had a group of 5 with a reservation for 9pm on NYE. We got there around 840 and ordered drinks. Our last party member arrived around 905. The drinks took a while to get. The smoker wasn’t working for the Sam Elliot’s mustache drinks. One of them was loaded with bitters and barely smoky. We ordered oysters before 9. They took quite some time to get to us. We understood your team was busy so didn’t say anything. We ordered our meals. After about an hour of waiting our server told us the kitchen said they never received our order. We were super hungry and had plans after that to meet more people. We expected to be out of there by 1030 at the latest. Our first course didn’t get to us until after 1030. And it took even longer for the butternut squash soup to come out. Then it took a while for our second course as well. The soup was cold but still good. The food was delicious but our experience was ruined by the lack of attention by the staff. It took an hour for anyone to realize we had been sitting there without our first course. We barely made it to meet the rest of our party before midnight because we were running so behind. Collectively our table spent about $650 and it was not a good experience. We eat there quite a bit. We really enjoy the food and drinks. One of the couples in our party had never been before. We felt terrible because we raved about the place and it was so expensive and they didn’t have a good time.

The Pedro Pascal, La Viuda, and House Margarita on the rocks were amazing! We shared Housemade Lasagna was perfect for sharing instead of an appetizer. But then we had to try the Misty Point Virginia Oysters and were blown away! So freshly, earthy, briney and delicious! No sauce needed!

I absolutely love the food! The actually place needs some improvements. The patio is our favorite place to sit but the flooring is not ideal. The chairs fall into the rocks making it uncomfortable to get situated. If the fixed the flooring it would be amazing! The inside dining room is stuffy and not comfortable at all. But the food is excellent.
Jacob Jones is the server/bartender YOU WANT every time. He makes the best drinks! He also really cares about his craft & is so welcoming & friendly. Please come to taste on main, ask for Jacob, and know the food is amazing!!! He will show you what great service looks & feels like.

We made a reservation here for my boyfriend’s birthday and had an amazing time! We sat outside on the deck, and the ambiance was great. The sourdough and smoked salmon dip was delicious and everyone loved their entrees. Molly, our server, was absolutely fantastic! She brought a dessert out for my boyfriend with a candle at the end of our meal and played a harmonica while we sang happy birthday. We couldn’t have asked for a better night. Will be back again!

We had never visited Taste of Main before but decided to try it for a belated birthday brunch. It was everything promised in the reviews I had read. From mimosas to the delicious brunch offerings, everything was delicious. Our server (sorry should have got his name) was pleasant, friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was relaxed and not so busy so we felt okay about lingering at the table for some long overdue conversation with family. We’ll be back, Taste! We had a reservation but we were 1/2 hour early. Fortunately, they were not extremely busy so they sat us at a comfortable booth. I would recommend reservations just in case.
