We go a few times a week. Great Brussel sprouts. And most of the main courses on the menu are good and generous servings.Love sitting at the bar and conversing with the bartenders. Always making good recommendations and drinks.

the service was ASTONISHINGLY terrible! i went here with my bestie, London, and we saw TERMITES in the vents. When London saw the termites he said “erm what the sigma” ALSO the waitress came while i was right in the middle of mewing, and the toddler next to us was blasting skibidi toilet at max volume.

The food is always amazing! We have liked everything we've ordered. It's great to support local businesses.

I really wanted to like this place…and I did! Food was outstanding. We got the chicken fried ribeye, lobster roll, pork belly tostadas and a dozen oysters. Everything was fantastic, sat outside by the trees., just absolutely lovely. Great date spot. I can not stress enough how much I despise those pay at the table Toast™️ card readers. It’s uncomfortable for the servers, and patrons. Beautiful restaurant, will be back.

The appetizers were okay. The lobster roll and steak were definitely subpar, especially for their price points. We stacked our own plates for them to be taken from the table and the staff didn’t bother to pick them up. I had to continuously ask for refills. This was my 2nd visit to the establishment and was just as disappointed as the first time around.

This was a memorable lunch. We sat outside on the patio. Service was excellent and friendly. Our iced tea glasses were always topped up and our server answered all our questions. We started with salads and warm fresh sourdough bread. We shared a chicken-fried ribeye with beef gravy and broccolini - a new experience and very tasty. We also shared a dessert of toasted pound cake with buttermilk ice cream - a wonderful way to end the meal. The entire meal for the two of us was $80 but worth it for a special meal.

Top notch. Beautiful restaurant. Great food presentation. Interesting bold flavors. The gnocchi was my favorite- just wow. The spicy tuna from the raw bar was phenomenal as well. Wife loved the blackened red fish. Service was quick and professional. Highly recommend if you don't like boring food.

Went for our 3rd wedding anniversary. Waited 45 minutes for a dozen oysters. The couple next to us was seated 10 minutes after us. They got apps AND entrees BEFORE we got our oysters. Had to ask the waitress where the oysters were, she said oyster guy was ‘really backed up’. When our oysters STILL hadn’t come when next table got entrees, we asked to speak to a manager. Chase apologized and comp’d the oysters and dessert. 8oz filet was dry, au gratin potatoes were like a dry brick. Husband had fish. We had a $50 bottle of wine. Total before comp’s was over $200. Wait staff wore jeans, thin light-weight short sleeve golf shirts, waist aprons with 10 random pens sticking out. seemed too casual for this level of restaurant. Felt like I was at TX Roadhouse instead of higher end establishment. Very disappointed.

There was a little mix up in the food which the staff handled quickly and efficiently. Great food, better service and loved the atmosphere. Very, very nice place that I love to come back to.

Really cute diner and bar in a small town! Creative presentation and great drinks. Super service. This trip we sat at the bar and had snacks but we’ve been in for brunch and had an equally good experience.Only complaint is the chips - very crumbly and before our queso was gone the chops had become a pile of tiny fragments.

So far Taste has the title of The Best Mexican Martinis in Hays county (Lalo Tequila is my flavor) all bartenders measure so the balance of the ingredients is consistent whether seated at the inside bar or at the Tree house, you will get an amazing drink. our go to appetizer is the Sea Food Tower & i like the collard greens too. Thanks to Jeffs suggestion my first time trying an Old Fashion with Clase Azul Tequila, it is now my all time favorite cocktail
