If you are looking for a real authentic Texas-sized hamburger, fries and more this is your little gem, just outside of San Antonio, north on 281 in Bulverde. From the moment we walked in, the cozy, locally-owned vibe and friendly staff made us feel right at home. Everything is delicious and hugely portioned with fantastic flavor. I tried the Old School Cheeseburger, and it was delicious! The Texas Tumbleweed (battered fried onions rings) and hand-cut homemade french fries were some of the best I've ever had. We will be back and we'll be sure to come in hungry! Ask for the sweet server, Carys!

Great place! The onion rings are AWESOME!! I have looked & looked to find good thin onion rings (strings??) & finally have found them!! Emory was such a sweet & knowledgeable waitress! She kept our table supplied woth s lovely smile!

Went in to get a to go order. Ordered the Club. The bread was perfectly toasted. But the meat was cold and the cheese was not even melted no mayo or anything on sandwich. I asked for fries crispy but they were almost burnt. Thing that gets me is the owner cooks the food and does not take much pride in what he serves. I don't come here often. Was in area and decided to stop. Next time I will keep going!

12 dollar lunch in 10 mins . They were sweet employees and the food was delicious! The collaboration of the toast with the sandwich was a flavor blast in your mouth Fries were so good . Couldn’t finish plate would say larger portions. Will definitely come back . Wish I wasn’t on lunch break so I could have got a beer .!

I've loved them in the past. However, we were very disappointed this time. Although the burger my wife had was freshly made, it seemed to lack flavor. The fries are also freshly made, but none were crispy. My wife loved the homemade mayonnaise. She said it tasted like her grandma's from back in France. My steak fingers were nothing grand. To me, bland. I'm not sure I'll be back without some improvement.

Waitress was not attentive, and we were the only ones in there. Burgers were served raw when we suggested that the burgers need to be cooked more, the cook told the waitress to tell us to come back there and tell it to his face that his burgers are raw. Then proceeded to tell us that that’s how they are served. Very rude and really didn’t care what we had said. I do not recommend this place or their food. Unless you like raw hamburger meat.

Oh where to start. The short version is if you want to re-experience middle school lunch this place is for you. The long part. I wish we had listened to the waitress when she said we would be safe with a burger. Instead we have everything but burgers. Almost all of the food just tasted bad. We had pizza, steak fingers, fried chicken and a breakfast plate. The pizza was just doughy and fell apart, the fried chicken was mostly breading, the mashed potatoes were watery, and the eggs and steak fingers were straight out of your favorite lunch ladies kitchen. I love bar food, but this was terrible. The only redeeming factors is that the fries were very good and the food was very inexpensive. We had 4 meals and the total was $45 that is the only reason for the second star. At the same time you get what you pay for. The staff was friendly, but none of that redeems the food. I can't speak to the burgers as none of us had one, but if that is the only thing they do well then they need to remove everything else from the menu.
