We used Kalo Catering for a family reunion dinner for 20. They provided several selected appetizers, a buffet dinner, and dessert. All of the food was excellent and everyone in attendance said it was some of the best food they have ever had. They were also very easy to work with and flexible when our location and number of attendees changed.

Kalo Catering made our wedding as perfect as we imagined! Everything was set up perfectly on the day, and all food came out when it was supposed to. We have been getting so many comments about how amazing the food was, even two weeks after the wedding!!! Mary was so easy to work with and offered suggestions and worked with us on the menu to make it exactly what we wanted! George, the head chef gave us an awesome private tasting and specified how everything would come out on the day. We asked if he could do something for a late night snack and he came up with the idea to do donut holes and coffee. They came out piping hot and were a huge hit with our guests. Kalo will be who we recommend for anyone having a wedding in Texas!! They were incredible! Thanks Kalo for making our day even more special!!

Event Coordinator Mary planned every detail for our dinner party and guided me throughout the process from menu to wine selections. Chef George did an outstanding job in all the usual things you would expect from an exceptional dinner, but he added several extra touches that went beyond the usual. At my request, he demonstrated how he prepared portions of the meal. He went above a demonstration and it became an interactive show. Dessert was prepared table side and was an event unto itself that will be talked about for years. Mary and George blended with ease with the guests and became a favorite of all attending! You will be pleased to have them as a feature at you next dinner party.

We used Kalo for my son's wedding. The chef was very nice to work with during our site visit. He even offered us a military discount on the service fee. We contracted for a "Lavish Cheese Board with Meats", along with fruit and veggie displays. The layout was beautiful.His menu called for four different kinds of meats to be served. However he only provided a small amount of salami, with no other meats.Being the hosts of the party, I did not even get to visit the table until the end of the party and did not notice the lack of food, but my guests told me about it. I approached him about this the following work day, and he stated that all the meats had been provided. The pictures from the photographer clearly show that they were not.During the event, he left one person to bus the venue and restock the displays. My guests pointed out that it was not being done, so I had to go ask her to get up and take care of it. At the end of the evening, the chef said he would take care of the garbage, but he did not.When I contacted after the event about the issues, he basically dismissed all of my concerns. Instead, he proceeded to inform me that we had contracted for only 65 guests, even though the "75 guests" was hand-written on the top of the contract (but only 54 actually attended). He also informed me that 4 kinds of meat had been served, but they were layered, so I might not have noticed them. I have provided a picture of the display, so you may see for yourself.To his credit, he offered to refund the service fee due to my dissatisfaction. He has only replied to one email, but has not yet addressed the missing food. He has not responded to any further emails and will not answer phone calls/voice messages. I would have rated him higher, however I feel he has handled my concerns (or actually not handled them) poorly. I hope to hear from him soon and will posts updates.10/12/18...As a follow up, after avoiding phone calls/voicemails and emails for the past 3 days, the chef finally sent me an email last night. He stated that he was "swamped at the moment", but would contact me within the next 3 days. This may take 6 days or more for him to actually respond to me, but I am hoping to hear from him sometime soon.

We intended on asking our guests how they liked the food during/after the wedding - but we didn't have to, because our guests went out of their way at or after the wedding to tell us how amazing the food was. We also used them for our linens, drink ware, flat ware and bar tending services and ALL of the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Prior to the event, his team was always efficient at replying to one of my many questions. I really can't say enough good about Kalo. Top notch. I will seek out opportunities to provide catering, just so I can use them again.
