Fantastic place! Service is always fantastic, their drinks are amazing and you have to try the Poblano Soup and Spicy ElPaso Pizza… definitely a favorite.

Disappointing experience after being a regular before the fire. After the fire, the food and drinks underwhelmed overcooked salmon and steaks and watered down drinks.

We really wanted to like this place. We went before the fire and loved it. Came back after the rebuild and was very disappointed. First it took them 30+ minutes just to bring our first drink out. Then almost an hour to bring our food. It was busy, the place was so loud and the lights were too bright for a dining establishment. They did not take into consideration appropriate lighting or noise control for the rebuild which was unfortunate.

The bacon wrapped dates were burnt, the sliders were overcooked and chewy, and the pizza could have been a little bit more cooked. The potatoes lacked seasoning. The only thing we both agreed on was the meatballs were delicious. The drinks we received (we ordered 3 different ones) were all subpar. Maybe they were just having a bad night, but wanted to leave an honest review.

I really miss this place and hope they reopen! This was my favorite time of year to sit on the back deck and enjoy poblano soup, bacon wrapped dates, and lamb meatballs!

For Bulverde, this place is terrific. For the San Antonio area, this place is not too good. The menu options are terrific. But the food did not deliver. They seem to prefer reservations, and so maybe the issue was we were walk-ins. But the Brussel sprouts were a little rubbery and just ok. The sauce was terrific. The patatas bravas did not seem fresh; they seemed like they'd been sitting a while in the kitchen. The sauce was somewhat dried on them. The flavor was ok. The panela cheese was probably the best, but could have used a bit more flavor. The baked brie puffs had a little odd after taste to me and the raspberry was not the best. But my wife seemed to think that that was more me than the puffs. She separately had gambas al ajillo which were ok, but the best thing she ate. She had a red blend wine, it was fine. With tip, we paid ~$103. Service was ok, if neglectful at times. The bar had a very smoky box of some kind, smelled a bit like a cigar. At first we thought we had maybe been seated in a smoking section or someone was smoking a cigar. My wife said it was a smoked drink of some kind. A bit overpowering smell for me; took me a while to get used to it.

First time. Great intimate restaurant. Food was unique and very flavorful. Kudos to the chef! Kudos also to Justin our server. He added to the pleasurable experience. Will be back.
