Without a doubt the best restaurant in Milam County. Bob's is always consistent and never disappoints. Great steaks, sides, and some of the best chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken in Texas. Highly recommend!

Great service. Steaks were cooked nicely. Beef from 44 farms. 5 of us ordered med rare and got a good cut of beef. 1 person ordered well done ribeye and his was a postage stamp due to ordering well done. The fried shrimp were excellent. Everyone was very hospitable. Like the fact they bring the carousel of sour cream, cheese and green onion therefore stacking up your own tater. But no bacon bits guess its bring your own.Thanks for a great time!

No windows lol, but seriously they have amazing portions and owner and staff are on point. Welcoming atmosphere and the food is surprisingly amazing.
We’ve been eating here for year’s. The last 2 times we’ve eaten here it has been horrible. The last time I got a chicken fried steak, the size of a burger patty. We ordered chicken fried steak dinner and a grilled chicken breast dinner and the green beans literally have so much pepper that I’m gonna post a pictures. My John says chicken is dry as could be and so is my steamed broccoli stay tuned for the pictures….. Also, we will never be backVegetarian options: Our green beans had so much pepper that I mean it looks like a can was dumped in each little bowl. My broccoli is steamed and it is dry and cold

Can't believe it took us 4 months to find this gem! We love it. Great service, great food, and even live music in the bar area at times. We've made it a weekly date spot. Great food specials all week! Best steak so far! And the shrimp are huge and absolutely amazing! Beer is always nice and cold. Friday is catfish night and it's great! Love the baked potato toppings that come in a tray on the side, nice touch!

Met here to have dinner with family as a half way point between brenham and Waco. Loved it!!!!! Friendly place. Very casual and relaxing. No loud music playing, could actually visit. We had the hamburger, onion rings, chicken fried chicken, grilled chicken and rib eye steak. They were all delicious! The baked potatoes were perfectly cooked.. nice and fluffy! So glad we found Bob's.. we will be back for sure! They were in no hurry for us to leave and we had a nice long visit before heading back home.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options

My suggestion to the restaurant would be to put a huge sign at the end of the road letting visitors know they are there. I've been working here for 2 months and just found the restaurant. I wish I'd known about it from the beginning. Let me start with the service. The service was spot-on. Our waitress was not overbearing yet she was not elusive. She kept our glasses full and made sure that we were okay during the entire dinner. The food..... The steak was cooked to perfection exactly the way I wanted it. Do yourself a favor, if you decide to dine here, don't touch the steak sauce on the table. It would insult your steak greatly because the flavor is all inside. You do not need steak sauce to dip the steak in. You can thank Lance for that. Upon asking questions about the place since it was so good we learned that the cook is named Lance. Lance has the art of cooking a steak down to perfection..... I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. The toppings for the baked potato they bring out are neatly put in a carousel so you can put the amount of toppings you want on your potato. The salad was great. The bread was good. One thing I absolutely love about this place is on each table she has a pair of reader glasses tucked away in a goblet. I've went to restaurants before and left my readers at home. This was something that really struck me as ingenious. To think about customers on that level means that your food will damn well be good. And it was. I can't wait to visit again.

The bread was so good, served warm with a nice soft butter. We had the chicken fried chicken and chicken fried steak. Both were really good. Green beans were seasoned very well. Sweet tea was too sweet. We will def be back to try some of their appetizers and their steaks. They have daily specials on weekdays.
