I moved to Cameron in July, and me and my girl have been waitimg for the opportunity to try this place, so we were excited. The excitement left when we first opened the door. I was still opening the door for my girl when the host said table for two, so we didn't really hear her. Then I feel like we were judged by where we were sat. Would've been nice to experience more than the table behind the host stand. For dinner, we started with spinach and artichoke dip. It had a good flavor but needs to be creamier with more salt and pepper. For the main course, my girl ordered the hamburger steak. She was very disappointed when it arrived and there wasn't any gravy to go on top. She also had the baked potato and said it was cooked well, but it definitely didn't have any butter on it, so it was dry. I ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich. I was not told that the chicken would be grilled when Buffalo chicken should be fried. So it is a no-brainer to why my sandwich was so bland, I mean no salt whatsoever, no spice, and the sauce came on the side, worst Buffalo chicken sandwich I have ever tasted. We also had the honey sairracha Brussel sprouts. They were overcooked and very mushy. Our server Elizabeth was friendly, but she didn't seem to know the menu very well. My girl asked if the 44 Farms steak was Prime or Choice cuts. She had no idea. The service was sub-par at best. It will be a while if I ever return.

Food was great and the wait staff did a great job with a large group for our class reunion. The food never disappoints!

Excellent! Great steaks w wine. Apple cobbler dessert. Sides were delicious. Great hospitality as well. They also had an outside patio that is family friendly.

This was our first time here. Let me just say it was absolutely wonderful! From the quick responses by messenger to our server to everyone we encountered it blew me away. The friendliness of everyone upon our arrival until we left was outstanding. The place itself is just so beautiful. So let's talk about the food. We started off with the pimento cheese and spicy crackers. Nice appetizer. I ordered the 12oz ribeye , baked potato, and spicy cream corn. So delicious. I used a butter knife to cut my steak. Juicy and tender and cooked the way I wanted it. The corn was a nice dish too. My boyfriend ordered the surf n turf and it was good as well, the shrimp were big. Portions are huge. We definitely have leftovers. We did have to try the dessert and had the apple cobbler and it was just right for us two. I already can't wait to go back.

The restaurant is in an old house, and it has been wonderfully restored. They have a nice patio under the trees to sit in summer and listen to music. Food is great.

This place is wonderful! The food is outstanding, staff is friendly and attentive, this last time we were fortunate to be there when Brooke Graham was entertaining and it was so enjoyable! It was the first time I had been out to socialize in a while and it was definitely the right place to go! Drinks are great, food is delicious, if you haven't been here you're missing out on a fabulous experience!

Great service by Ms. Skyler and fabulous Host, Ms. Willie. The 44 Steak was cooked medium well and it was perfect. Excellent Chef at CAB.

Final update: 11/12What a difference a day makes (technically 22, but you get me).As much as I loved swinging through this little town and experiencing it's bipolar struggle to entertain and service it's customer base... I will npt be returning. 3 strikes and all that.Early evening Friday, not overflowing but there were some tables that seemed ... Lonely, should have been my first clue.Service was lacking and got the order wrong, twice. Food arrived cold and well not very tasty per usual... And as if that was not enough to leave you with a sour taste as I was leaving the "owner" decided to share her beer and opinion of the nights travails with our table as to the "staffs issues" and why "diversity" was the reason the service was "off" sort of left me feeling like I needed to take a shower. Then to have "her" explain how hard is was to find good help in a town with "people" like this (pointing to the tables that were occupied with what I will assume were locals), well that sort of said enough for me to not return.I guess this is why they say to never meet your hero's, or rather those you laud and espouse their efforts. We will not be returning.Update: 10/21I am shocked and blown away with the upgrade to the service , especially considering how lean the margins are and juxtaposed to the overhead via inflation...I visited this place a little over a year ago... Wow. How time fly's.I have to admit the service, wine selection and quality of the offerings have improved DRAMATICALLY...It's clear someone, or something has come in and revamped the serviceHonestly I think I am going to make this a regular weekend trip. From a reluctant 3 stars to 5... In just a YEAR??? What is going on in Cameron Texas???6/20A decent sandwich can be had here yet this oddly chosen venue for jazz and "alternative" life styled waitstaff, immersed in a venue that would seem more at home in a borough in New York.Bewildering choice of aesthetics's, staff and cuisine. Come and see this oddity before it's gone as I do not see this place surviving. One caveat if you are uncomfortable with looking up the nostrils of the staff while rings and "debris" swing about this might not be the place for you.
