Great food and small town atmosphere. Their chicken fried steak is easily top three and I’ve had chicken fried steak at several places in Texas. Their tea is served in mason jars which is a nice touch. Will be coming back again!

We agreed they served the best fried okra we've had, lightly breaded, very tender, not greasy. The food was good, our server friendly & helpful. & I'd give 4 ⭐'s if we hadn't waited so long to have our order taken, with ourselves & only 1 other couple in the restaurant,(was after dinner rush), several servers were in the back, having been a server, I don't find it acceptable no one was attending the dining room, & we're left waiting. Tho having been a server, I understand how exhausted,(& sore) a server can be by the end of the day. So I'll be back for more fried okra.

The 50's cafe has changed hands but kept the cooks, which was a great move! They shortened the menu and are focused on making quality food. I am looking forward to my return.
