This place is one of a kind. Has been around for as long as I can remember and still tastes as yummy and authentic. I don’t know of any other place that sells gorditas. Meat Gorditas are the best. The sopapillas are a NM food specialty. I prefer them without the sugar, but good either way as long as you have the honey. Liz our waitress was super friendly and attentive. I live and San Diego and come here anytime I’m in the area. (Not often enough)

Music so loud you can't communicate with server or company. Don't order Sopapillas, came out like cold overly greasy, flat buenuelos, disappointed. More masa than meat in Gorditas.

This has been my favorite restaurant since I was 5! I always love getting chili con carne and barbacoa burritos. Finally got a churro this last time and it was fresh and crisp. Very friendly and fast service

Everyone gives this place a great place to visit, so we took the 25 mile drive, only to be very disappointed. We were told to seat wherever but the only waitress there was on the phone and she never came to our table. I looked around and the few people that were there didn’t even have their food. We left very disappointed

We have been there several times but the quality of the food and service has changed. I believe they have new owners and the quality of the food has dropped…… dirty tables as well and they were not busy only custom in the restaurant. We will never return to that restaurant ever again…….

Coming back to Canutillo after 30 years, I wasn’t sure what to expect—but walking into The Little Diner felt like stepping right back into my childhood. The same comforting aroma of fresh tortillas, chile, and home cooking fills the air, and the food is just as delicious as I remember it.

I had the chance to enjoy the same authentic flavors that made this place special decades ago—rich, perfectly seasoned chile rellenos, and that unmistakable homemade touch in every bite. The warmth of the staff and the laid-back, familiar setting brought back so many memories of family meals and neighborhood gatherings.

It’s rare for something to stand the test of time like this, but The Little Diner hasn’t lost its magic. It’s still the heart of Canutillo, serving up tradition, comfort, and the best flavors in the Borderland.

If you grew up here, or just want to taste real El Paso-style home cooking, this is the place to go. Some things really do stay perfect.

Wow! The gorditas are amazing. It's unfortunate I was only in the area for work but both times I stopped in I left full and satisfied. I hope my travel bring back soon.

You can’t beat their gorditas. It had been many years since I’ve eaten at Little Diner but their masa is still as good as I remember. They offer several choices for gorditas we had the classic ground beef which didn’t disappoint. We also tried the Barbacoa Gorditas which weren’t as good. Back in the day people flocked here for tamales but for $24/dozen I don’t think there’s much of a line anymore. The service was friendly and if you’re in Canutillo it’s worth a trip.

The food is not very appealing or appetizing. Gorditas were hard and Chile rellano had all the seeds. I would not recommend to eat here.

Well it’s not as great as it once was. I was hoping to impress my husband with some great Mexican food and was sorely disappointed. The only thing that was still good was the Gordita shell, that was still as good as I remember it, everything else was just meh.
