The menudo and kids' pancakes are particularly enjoyed, and the breakfast is very good at reasonable prices. However, there have been issues with food orders not being fulfilled correctly, such as uncooked bacon, burnt hashbrowns, or unwanted beans on the plate. The service can be slow, and drinks like coffee may arrive weak or late. Some staff, mainly the younger ones, provide bad service, while the owner/manager is great. The fluorescent lights are bothersome, and the place has a hole-in-the-wall feel with local color. Despite these issues, the restaurant's affordability and excellent food keep customers coming back.
